These days, the third anniversary of the Egyptian revolution passes by. Strangely, those that turned against the revolution and returned the symbols of the former regime to the foreground, are the ones who are invited to celebrate its memory, despite the fact that some of those now celebrating the anniversary of the revolution formerly used to call it “the 25th January Setback”. Had they not known that their alleged 30th June revolution was only to restore the repressive police state, the state of Mubarak and his entourage, they would not have decided to mobilize 260 thousand policemen to secure the celebration, including officers, members and soldiers from the departments of criminal investigation, rescue, traffic, central security, special operations, and civil protection. They also would not have mobilized 180 formations from the central security, 120 reserve formations and 500 battle forces, in addition to dozens of modernly armored, two-towered vehicles. Are all of these forces being prepared to secure the celebration, or to cause intimidation in a fierce war?!

The 25th January Revolution might have toppled the head of the regime, but it remained on its hands, legs, eyes and ears. That is because the revolution did not own a project for real change. Hence it produced a failing regime, drawing a constitution that does not differ from the Constitution of 1971 and deluded people into believing it was an Islamic Constitution. This regime left America to intervene in the major and minor affairs of the country, and ransomed the country and its people to America and its International Monetary Fund, as well as the Jewish state remaining in safety and the Camp David Agreement respected. Nevertheless, this revolution succeeded in breaking the barrier of fear that had bridled the people for decades. The coup authority will not be able to terrorize the sons of the Ummah who are eager for real change that will not occur except on the basis of Islam. The Ummah has determined its matters and now looks forward to the day that Islam – not the Islamists – will ascend into power. That day the faithful of this Ummah will declare it a Khilafah on the method of Prophethood, with a Constitution stemming from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, led by a pious, pure Khaleefah that will take the Ummah to the heights of glory among all nations, and cut off the extremities of America and other Kufr states by which they conspire against the Ummah and deceive it with the most cunning deceptions.

Allah’s promise to the Ummah of succession, victory and empowerment will inevitably materialize, ascribing the truth to His سبحانه وتعالى saying:

كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا

“Allah has promised those of you who have iman and do right actions that He will make them successors in the land as He made those before them successors, and will firmly establish for them their deen with which He is pleased and give them, in place of their fear, security.”

(An-Nur, 24:55)

As well as the glad tidings of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم:

«ثم تكون خلافة على منهاج النبوة»

“Then there will be a Khilafah on the method of Prophethood.”

It will inevitably come to existence!

We in Hizb ut Tahrir call upon the people of the land of Egypt on the third anniversary of the revolution, to make the real, practical implementation of Islam their demand, through the establishment of an Islamic Khilafah on the method of Prophethood. In it alone lays their pride, and it is their only escape from the shame of this world and the torment of the Hereafter. We call upon them to renounce any Constitution that is contrary to Islam, and to reject what America and its cronies have promoted in our lands from false democracy, abhorrent secularism, as well as nationalism and patriotism that are contrary to Islam.

وَاللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَى أَمْرِهِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

“Allah is in control of His affair. However, most of mankind do not know.”

(Yusuf, 12:21)
