Independence Day Celebrations in Yemen: Did the Colonialists Really Leave?

On Saturday 30/11/2013 Yemen celebrated the 46th Anniversary of the evacuation of the last British soldier from the South of Yemen in 30/11/1967. This is how the people of Yemen were fooled by the evacuation of the British Colonialists. But the truth is the British colonialists have evacuated in name but have actually remained. When the Colonialists exited militarily, they left behind an army of agent-politicians, military men, sheikhs, political parties, and others. It chose to whom to hand over power to in person in Aden, during the Geneva Negotiations between 20-28/11/1967, so that they act as its servants and slaves. The continuous political actions by the British in Yemen during the past 46 years gave it an unmatched influence despite the American attempts to remove and replace it.

The British aborted the unification between the two halves of Yemen according to the American method in October 1977. It was the one that assassinated Al-Hamdi and made Salmeen follow, it then replaced him with a Unity in its method in May 1990. In November 2006, Britain organised the Conference of Donors in London to aid the economy of Yemen which was brought to the brink of collapse by the World Bank and its exhausting programmes since 1995. When the revolution took place in 2011, the then British Ambassador Jonathan Wilks said: “There are personal disputes between three families in Yemen that we are trying to find a political settlement between them.” Its current ambassador, Jane Marriott said on Sunday 24/11/2013, “There is no extension to the National Dialogue Conference, the results stage must begin so that it can be sensed by the people.” This is to keep Yemen in the grips of her country and to distance the American agenda in the National Dialogue Conference; which does not tire or bore in its quest to spread its influence in Yemen. Lastly, Amnesty International called on President Hadi not to exercise the use of force against the demonstrators and protestors that are led by the Southern Movement in the south of Yemen on the Anniversary of the Independence Day, because this comes in line with its desires to fragment Yemen.

O people of Yemen, did the colonialists really leave Yemen? How is that so, while its thoughts and programmes are applied on us? How is that so, while politicians copy the Western colonialist’s personality and is working hard to replace the Islamic thoughts and rules with Western thoughts and rules? The example of the republic, democratic, civil state, the quota, and the federal regimes are not far from us.

O people of Yemen, did the British colonialists really leave from Aden and Yemen!? Or did the military occupation end and become replaced by another form of occupation!? The onlooker to the people of Yemen and their miserable conditions will find them as refugees fleeing a country without war, in search of food and hoping for a life of dignity after being deprived of it in their land; wherever your destination is in the world you will find the people of Yemen have reached there before you!

O people of Yemen, you are the displaced in which evacuation is desired for you, if not physically then emotionally, so that the colonialists enjoy the wealth of Yemen – The Land of Goodness. Will you not rethink as you were invited to do by the British Embassy, in the article that was published by Ma’rib Press Today Newspaper today on the Anniversary of the Independence Day?

Truly you must rethink… but in a completely different manner contrary to what they are calling you for, and that is to turn the tables against them and their tools, those that execute their projects, and to remove the Western colonial intervention; “Britain and those with it from the European countries and America” and their tools; and answer that which pleases your Lord, He سبحانه وتعالى described you by the tongue of His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم as those with Iman and wisdom. You are capable of resolving your problems. So work with the sincere ones to establish the Khilafah ar-Rashida that the non-Muslim (Dhimmi) enjoys to live under let alone the Muslims. Then we will live according to the way Allah سبحانه وتعالى wishes for us and not how the Kaffir colonialists want. This is Hizb ut Tahrir working in the Ummah and amongst it, hoping for the pleasure of Allah and your Glory.

وَقُلِ اعْمَلُواْ فَسَيَرَى اللّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ

“Say: ‘Act, for Allah will see your actions, and so will His Messenger and the believers.”
