Has the Wealth of Yemen Become a Feast for Colonialists and their Partners?!

On Tuesday, 13 Shawwal 1434 AH corresponding to 20/8/2013, the weekly Yemeni newspaper, I’laf in Issue No. 277 published an article titled: “18 Global companies qualify to receive privileges in 20 oil sectors in Yemen”. It mentions the following: “Out of 20 oil sectors in Yemen, 9 are land sectors, 11 are sea sectors. The Ministry of Oil said that the result of the sixth contest that it organised for 20 sectors saw the qualifying of 18 out of 45 global oil companies are from various nationalities in the initial phase. This took place after the negotiation panel studied the bids and the presented documents from those companies. The oil minister said to Saba’ News Agency that these efforts were based on the direction of President Hadi in order to open the door for investments in specified oil sectors for investments by increasing oil and gas production from the oil fields.”

What preceded these offers were agreements that were signed between Yemen and those countries for decades and years, which reflects the greediness that motivates these companies, whether they were Americans, British, French, Austrian, Canadian, Philippine or Norwegian.

This piece of news came at the same time as the signing of a deal between the Yemeni President Hadi and America, which violates the sovereignty of the country and makes them sovereign over land, sea and air, isn’t that enough?

This is a clear violation to the sovereignty of the country. This is an invasion not only in politics but also in the military and economy of the country. What remains then of national sovereignty?

Acting in this way in the country’s affairs is deception and cheating of the Ummah and squandering one of its rights. The leader supervises the properties as a supervisor and is to use these resources in the way ordered by Allah سبحانه وتعالى as it is an Amanah (responsibility). So it is not allowed to be given as privileges to the colonial companies and cannot privatize these properties to become individual and companies property.

The guardian that wants for his people and country to revive does not surrender them nor pledges them to outsiders, but he ensures that they carry out the ideology of Islam which reflects the convictions and concepts of the people. An ideology that revives the country and makes it independent from the influence of the greedy West and makes the Ummah relies on itself in manufacturing, agriculture and other sectors so that they deserve to be leaders defending themselves with weapons they manufacture from the needle to the misslie, filling the oil and gas sectors and employing engineers and experts.

No one will be able to carry out this except the sincere, determined and daring one.

In the Islamic State, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم sent several Muslim individuals to learn how to manufacture swords from Jarash in Yemen.

Islam made oil a public property. He صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“الناس شركاء في ثلاث، الماء والكلأ والنار”

“People are partners in three, water, pasture and fire”.

Therefore they must not be allowed to become private properties. It is prohibited for the leader, trader, minister, or oil companies to share with the Government and deprive the Ummah from them.

Hizb ut Tahrir is the trustworthy adviser and a cautioner exposing the difference between truth and falsehood, it has vowed to be a trustworthy guardian to Islam, implementing the law of Allah on earth, fearing only Allah in this path, bearing the hardships and is patient during afflictions until Allah brings the victory. This is at a time when others chose safety and became idle in giving victory to Islam and the Muslims.

Hizb ut Tahrir calls upon the Muslims to work with it for that which has its interests and good; and looks after their affairs through the re-establishment of the Khilafah Rashida which will be a state of guidance not a state of taxation and to condemn these rulers and their agreements that sells the people and the country to the greed of capitalism making them humiliated begging who have become like thirsty cattle roaming the desert while carrying water on its back!
