The revolution of our people in Syria has entered its sixth month, and their resolve still remains. Their great sacrifices in the face of the brutality, criminality and retribution of the savage and cowardly regime remain the main symbol of this revolution. Likewise the international and regional “observers” remain within the lines that America has drawn, to give sufficient time for the regime to crush the revolution, while at the same time it deceptively calls for reforms and national dialogue. None of this will distract the people from seeking the fall of the regime, which has used all of its military power against them, from sniper fire in the streets, tank fire on houses, warships and fighter jets circling above the people as though they were the real enemy.
After Bashar Assad failed military and politically against us in the time allotted, our enemies in the West decided that our enemy Assad had outlived his usefulness. So they fired two deadly bullets, against the people and the opposition.
They directed the people to seek international intervention, bringing forward those who would call for the treacherous Arab regimes and the Western Kufr regimes to aid Syria as happened in Libya. They made this call either as willing conspirators, or as those blinded to danger by their pain.
They also called on the opposition to unify so that a new ruling council can be formed, which will be obediently devoted to them, and thus they will give it authority as occurred in Libya.
As for Hizb ut-Tahrir, we announce to the Americans and their regime, to Europe and their schemes, that our people uprising in Syria will ensure the failure of their plans and conspiracies; they have given an oath to bow to none but Allah, and they will not obey your plots and plans. Regarding this stance, we have some truthful and upright words that we ask Allah to convey from us so an attentive ear will take heed.
Firstly, we say to our people uprising in lofty and defiant Syria.
In your revolution your steadfastness and sacrifice has revived the example of the noble Sahabah against the leaders of Quraish. We indeed know the truthfulness of those souls who came out on the streets calling “let’s move, for the cause of Allah!” We also know the sincere amongst you do not trust the West and will not aid them; and we also know that you feel pain and suffering, and you hope relief from the criminal gang of Assad will come soon. However we call on those who have been confused by the words of the Western spies and their local mouthpieces, or seduced by the Western strikes in Libya and the end of the Gaddafi regime.
You must beware of what your enemies in the West are preparing for you. They will steal your revolution and turn it into what they desire, cementing their influence, and keeping dependence on them. O youth of our revolution beware! Do not have expectation in the promises of the treacherous Kafir West, which seeks revenge against our Ummah and seeks her blood in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. This is the same West which established the criminal regimes, including the Syrian regime, and they have aided her throughout these terrible years. Relying on the West will destroy everything you have built in this revolution. Allah ta’ala says:
وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّتِي نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِنْ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنْكَاثًا
“And do not be as she who breaks her yarn into strands, even after it is strongly spun.” [An-Nahl, 16:92]
Secondly: We say to our brothers in the opposition, both as individuals and as organisations.
The aware politician who cares for the affairs of his Ummah makes the Aqeedah of his Ummah as well as her pulse and interests his political compass. The intelligent one will learn about the evil and mischief of the West from what has occurred previously. Anyone who thinks politically will clearly discern that the West brought these agent rulers, and supported them through their programmes, plans and intelligence services. Only now have they abandoned them and thrown them on the rubbish heap with their other previous failed agents, so they can appoint in their places some new agents.
Cut off their agents plans at the roots, fear Allah and save yourselves from the afflictions of others! Pay attention instead to your Ummah, and take your resolve and determination from your own sons – that we will bow to none but Allah, nor will we rely on any but Allah, nor will we move except for that which pleases Allah. Did the news that the West destroyed the Khilafah and divided the Muslims’ lands not reach you? Are you unaware of the division of Sudan, and the destruction of lives and property in Somalia? Did not all of that occur due to the Western Kafir armies and the complicity of the rulers, who expelled the Muslims, and increased the corruption in their lands?!
We in Hizb ut-Tahrir put forward to you a programme of real change, which will save the Ummah, and achieve her revival from the current bitter situation we have reached. It is by returning her identity and resuming her Islamic way of life through the establishment of the Khilafah on the methodology (minhaj) of Prophethood, taking care of the people’s affairs and protecting and ruling them with truth and justice.
Thirdly: We say to our people in Bilad ash-Sham (Syria), homeland of Islam.
Indeed it is a great and severe danger for the solutions to our problems to remain in the hands of these criminal agent regimes. And indeed the greatest destruction would be for America and Europe to take control of our battle with these regimes. You must reject any call to the United Nations, or the Security Council, or the Arab League, or the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Conference), and cut off their hands if they attempt to interfere in your blessed revolution. There will be no salvation from your situation unless you take full control of your endeavours, and make your demand the Qur’anic State, not a Shaytanic State; an Islamic State, Khilafah on the Methodology of Prophethood, (minhaj un-nubuwwah) not a humiliated and subjugated State. Rise up against the conspiratorial rulers and regimes, and push your sons in the armies to fulfil the great responsibility with true Iman and tawakkul upon Allah, and reject Shaytan and his allies. If you seek help and relief, then let it be from your people in the neighbouring lands and their armies; indeed it is your right over them and their duty. So let your call be to the people of Najd and Hijaz, not to their corrupt, tyrant kings. Let your call be to the people of Turkey, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon, and not to their treacherous agent regimes, which are just the same as your regime, indeed they help one another. Let your call be to the Islamic Ummah, as the goodness is in them and in you until the Final Hour. That call will unify the people upon their Islam, and give strength and support to the revolution, and strike fear into the West and their henchmen among the rulers. Make the struggle one between two camps: the camp of the West and their agents, and the camp of the Ummah, believing in their Lord, embracing their Deen and seeking liberation through it.
Finally, O Muslims in (ash-Sham) Syria and in other lands.
Allah ta’ala has made ash-Sham a homeland of Islam. Our people in Syria are steadfast, and they have made an oath to bow to none but Allah. The criminal Assad regime, the agent rulers, and America and Europe surround them from every side. Beware that you do not hand them over and let them down; for if you did that you may have to say, “The day I abandoned my brother, I left myself open to attack”.
Know that their cause and your cause is one: the liberation of the Muslims’ lands from the oppressive regimes of the agents of the Kafir West. Save the Muslims of ash-Sham and save your selves. Call on your brave sons and brothers in the armies to save you and them from these regimes. And know that the salvation of your Ummah will only come when you return to Allah, strengthen your relationship with Him, seek help from Him and place your trust in Him fully.
Hizb ut-Tahrir sincerely advises you and struggles alongside you with a thought enlightened by the Book of Allah and following the footsteps of his Messenger, Al-Ameen Muhammad bin Abdullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. So rush to work with this party, and support it in order to raise the word of Allah. There is no power, nor support except with Allah; indeed Allah alone is an-Nasir al-Mu’een, and He is the Best Protector and Best Ally.
Allah ta’ala says:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
“O you who believe, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.” [Al-Anfal, 8:24]
