On 2 October, News Agency “UralPolit.Ru” and other media citing the press service of the Federal Security Service of the Chelyabinsk region reported:
“In the Chelyabinsk region they suppressed the activity of the four most active participants of the Chelyabinsk cell of Hizb ut Tahrir. The special operation was carried out with the participation of the Chelyabinsk KGB employees of the central apparatus of the FSS of Russia and the General Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Interior in the Chelyabinsk region. As the press service of the FSS of the Chelyabinsk region explained in 2014 legislation severely tightened, they put the responsibility for organizing and participating in the activities of terrorist organizations, to which Hizb ut-Tahrir-al-Islamy belongs, the legislation provides the penalty up to life imprisonment. A criminal case under Part 2 Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code has started, the punishment for the commission of which provides the imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years.
Comment:
The FSS of Russia insists on falsehood naming Hizb ut Tahrir a terrorist organization and continues to arrest party members under an anti-terrorist article of the Russian Criminal Code. Earlier there were arrests in Bashkir town Durtuli, and then in St. Petersburg. All those arrested are incriminated either in participation or organization of the activity of a terror organization, while only a blind person does not see that Hizb ut Tahrir leads only a political struggle even where it’s working on re-establishing the Khilafah. Russian authorities do understand this. By falsely calling Hizb ut Tahrir a terrorist organization, the powers want to neutralize an Islamic political party that is not under their control, so it does not affect Russian Muslims.
The Kremlin accepts only the so-called “traditional” Islam, that is, the controlled form of religion, which became possible after the destruction of hundreds of thousands of Muslims first by the tsar Russia and then by the Soviet authorities. Seeing the revival of the Islamic Ummah throughout the world, the authorities are trying to protect the Muslims of Russia from this trend. It is for this reason, they contrive, inventing new ways to counter Islam and Muslims. On the one hand the authorities openly lied to tighten laws and prosecute those who are able to influence the Muslims in Russia, on the other hand they support those who advocate the so-called “traditional” that is controlled and a limited form of Islam.
Those Muslims who do not accept this distorted form of Islam and continue to live and act in accordance with the requirements of Sharia, are the ones the authorities want to intimidate with lengthy imprisonment. But it is not possible to jail an idea, and the Muslims of Russia are changing with the development of the entire Muslim Ummah, as they are part of it. Along with the Ummah Muslims are changing: those who yesterday defended the so-called “traditional” Islam today require its full implementation. All the authorities’ attempts to counteract the process of natural development of the Islamic Ummah, prove only their ideological inconsistency and demonstrate their injustice.

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ وَالَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَكْرُ أُوْلَئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ
“If anyone wants power, all power belongs to Allah. All good words rise to Him and virtuous deeds elevate them. But people who plot evil deeds will suffer a harsh punishment. The plotting of such people is profitless.”
