Arrest of Suspects in the Recruitment for Jihad is only to Impose a Harsher Policy Against Islam

Dutch authorities arrested today Izz al-Din Cee (Elias Abu Musa) and his wife, and Rudolph Ha (Abu Suhaib), for being suspected by the authorities to recruit some young people for jihad in Syria and Iraq. In fact we have not been surprised by such news, rather this was expected, and Muslims are used to the double standards pursued by the Dutch authorities against Islam and Muslims and how the laws are only enforced when it comes to Muslims.

To begin with, it must be said that this matter must be subject to investigation if these detainees actually carried out recruitment to fight in Syria or Iraq or not. Furthermore, the incited media coverage about this case, i.e. the so-called alleged recruitment, accompanied by revolting images and scenes from Syria is not only premature but reflects the prevailing atmosphere in this country that is only aimed at the creation of chaos and sensitivity in the community.

It is well known that in order to establish procedures and political decisions in the country, there must be a need for it, or a certain situation that may be used by some people in order to impose certain policies. The video of the execution of the journalist Foley at the hands of ISIS organization has contributed in stimulating the development of new policies and procedures. It seems that the Western governments in general and the Dutch government in particular have found in these acts the right opportunity to strengthen their efforts, and to restore life to the anti-Islam policies. This was stated by the Prime Minister Rutte last week, where he spoke about the package of new measures, but the content of these resolutions remains unknown. Although Rutte expressed his views on the subject of the so-called Jihad group that he will work to prevent its members, and that when they return to the Netherlands they will face criminal penalties. Even to ban waving the Islamic flags (Ar-Rayat) would be included within this package announced by Rutte. All of this coincide with what was expressed by Minister of Social Affairs, Asscher this week of his call for the deportation of Imams who are in the Netherlands and who work, according to the Dutch state, to spread the ideas of hatred. Added to that, is the issuance of the CDA party of a publication entitled: “Freedom is a responsibility, a publication of democracy capable of resistance”, which contains a list of severe procedures that will be taken against anyone who does not believe in democracy. In addition to that, the process of monitoring and observing Muslims continues in order to avoid any potential danger. Not to mention the high schools that have decided to develop special programs to monitor, identify and confront the radical youth!

It is quite clear that the atmosphere intended to be created through these massive and decisive actions is not aimed to eliminate so-called extremism, but these measures are directed against all Muslims in the Netherlands. This was confirmed by Rutte recently when he said, “The government can do more: it can operate in the preventive field and in the repressive field”. Let us presume that the repressive actions are addressed to a few who are classified by the Dutch government to be extremists, then what about the preventive measures? And on whom will these procedures be applied? Will they be applied to Muslims who until this moment are non-extremists, but may likely become extremists in the future? Is not these procedures aimed at Muslims who are trying to adhere to Islam and reject the ideas of liberal democracy? Is not all of this aimed at Muslims who show their loyalty and advocacy for the Islamic Ummah in its struggle against oppression and injustice that are inflicted on them by the oppressive slaves of the West who it had installed them on the throats of the Muslims and who it still depends on them until this moment?

Moreover, if the Netherlands work truly to prevent terrorism and terrorist acts, then why the Dutch government follows the policy of double standards, so it lets the Jewish institutions operate freely in the Netherlands in order to recruit people for the benefit of the so-called the “Israeli” Defense Forces such as the SAR – Netherlands Foundation? And does not put any obstacles in the way of its work? It is worth mentioning that after the slaughter of more than 2,000 Palestinians in Gaza at the hands of Jews, many of the Dutch has acknowledged that “Israel” is a terrorist state, and the bombing of homes and the killing of men, women and children are terrorist acts! So why does the government turn a blind eye here? Why do the measures differ here? And why when some young Muslims travel to Syria to give victory to their oppressed brothers there and fight with them against the criminal Bashar, the government arrests them and considers them terrorists, knowing that Western countries considers the regime of Bashar al-Assad a terrorist regime!

What is going on here is the exploitation of the so-called elements of terrorism in order to restrict all of the Muslim community in the Netherlands, keep them under surveillance, and the use of different methods to force them to think according to the Western way of thinking. And here is the fact that I cannot think of an appropriate word to describe what is going on except that it is suppression! It is clear that the Dutch policy towards the Muslim community is: either to melt in or leave, or is there something else…
