On 18 August 2008, President Musharraf announced his resignation. He served America with complete submission throughout his rule, openly assisting them in their war against Muslims and Islam. Witnessing the waning of Musharraf's influence, America abandoned him in favour of new agents who would serve her more effectively. Indeed, this is the inevitable fate of anyone who seeks honour from the kuffar. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

بَشِّرْ الْمُنَافِقِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِنْدَهُمْ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا
"Give to the hypocrites the tidings that there is for them a painful torment. Those who take disbelievers for Auliyâ' (protectors or helpers or friends) instead of believers, do they seek honour, power and glory with them? Verily, then to Allâh belongs all honour, power and glory." [Surah an-Nisaa 4:138,139]

And Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ كَمَثَلِ الْعَنكَبُوتِ اتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ الْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ الْعَنْكَبُوتِ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
"The example of those who make allies with those other than Allah is the example of a spider, which made an abode, yet its abode is the most fragile of abodes, if only they would but know." [Surah Al-Ankaboot 29:41]

The humiliating manner in which Musharraf resigned is a lesson for all those politicians who are celebrating his demise while they have also established close relations with America for the sake of benefit and power and are also fully prepared to further her interests in this region. Indeed, whenever they make policy statements or give opinions on events, they are cautious not to arouse America's anger or disapproval in any way. And these rulers must be fully aware that America will only be pleased with them as long as they follow her policy.

 

The moment they depart from her policies or are unable to execute them fully, their authority which was derived through America's support and help will be snatched away and they will be abandoned as Musharraf was abandoned. Indeed, history is full of examples of puppets of the kuffar. Saddam Hussein's example is before us. Even though Saddam spared no effort in suppressing Islam and oppressing Muslims in order to secure British interests, Britain abandoned her agent and turned away from him, in order to secure her interests in the new prevailing situation when America attacked Iraq.

 

However, despite all of these glaring examples, Pakistan's new democratic government has insisted on placing its neck in the noose of slavery to the West. It is willing to use Pakistan's resources and army in America's war against Islam. During his tour of America, Pakistan's Prime Minister Gillani announced his full support to the Americans, saying, "We will fully co-operate with America in the war against terrorism." Since then, American attacks on Pakistan's tribal areas have become so frequent in Gillani's rule, that they have surpassed Musharraf's rule. And despite America's inhuman treatment of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, the democratic government ensures that Pakistan remains the continuous supply route for food, fuel and weapons for the American forces. Similarly, in economy, the government continues to pursue the Western capitalist policies, which are the basis of economic misery and poverty. On the other hand, exactly in accordance with the American policy to eradicate the Islamic values from the Muslim youth, the government is undertaking a campaign of cultural and media propaganda to instill corrupt Western values and to spread corruption and indecency amongst the Muslims. The politicians of Pakistan should understand by now that anyone who forsakes Islam and acts according to the guidance of the kuffar will never be embraced by the Ummah of RasulAllah سلم و عليه الله صلى and will eventually be despised and detested. Moreover, the disgrace and dishonor in the afterlife is greater and what a poor trade it is!

 

O Muslims of Pakistan!
Today, you are overjoyed at the departure of an American agent, but remember that in 1999 you also breathed a sigh of relief when the government of Nawaz Shareef ended. So, why is it that rulers change before your eyes yet your situation worsens in every sphere of your life? The reason for this is that America brings new faces whenever she deems it necessary, but she always ensures that the colonialist system in Pakistan remains constitutionally secured. It is this system that intrinsically secures her interests, whether it has the outward appearance of a democracy or a dictatorship. So, when the people reject dictatorship, America secures its system by bringing in democracy. We must not be fooled because democracy, like dictatorship, ensures that the desires and decisions of humans are preferred over the laws of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger سلم و عليه الله صلى, creating a door for the colonialists to steer the laws to secure their policies.

 

Moreover, as long as the present system exists, it will nurture and groom leaders such as Musharraf. Indeed, any politician who embraces this corrupt kufr system can never be sincere to the Muslims or Islam.

So, changes in faces will never improve your situation. Your situation will only change when this Western kufr system, and the corrupt rulers that embrace it, are uprooted and replaced by the Khilafah, which will implement the social, economic, judicial and ruling systems and education and foreign policies according to Islam. Rise up for the establishment of the Khilafah, rather than remaining content at the mere change of faces, that Khilafah which for over thirteen centuries was a source of mercy not just for Muslims but for non-Muslims as well.

 

O People of Power!
The joy of the Muslims at the departure of the enemy of Muslims and Islam, Musharraf, is an evidence of how much the people love Islam and desire rulers that are sincere to Islam and Muslims. However, the rulers that America brings through this system, will always be sincere to America, rather than the Muslims and Islam. So, how can you accept such a system when you have sworn to protect the Muslims and defend them from enemies?

 

The situation that lies before you is ideal for bringing a genuine change for the people. And before you is the example of the rulers in the Muslim World, who harshly rejected the warning of Hizb ut-Tahrir when it sent letters and delegations to them, in the previous month, that they will not only be losers in the next life but they will also lose their thrones, if they persist in slavery to the kuffar, just as Musharraf was warned and just as happened to Musharraf. And before you is Hizb ut-Tahrir, which works with sincerity, awareness and seriousness for the establishment of the Khilafah. Now is the time that you liberated your people from corrupt rulers and slavery to America through establishing the Khilafah. Give Hizb ut-Tahrir the Nussrah for the establishment of the Khilafah, so that the Muslims again become the dominant power in the world and reclaim the position of their noble forefathers, who were raised in honour through their implementation of Islam, feared by their kafir enemies and opened lands to Islam so as to propagate the light and guidance of Islam as an example for all humanity.

 

So, when will you step forward for this great honour?!

يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ
"O you who believe! If you support Allah, Allah will help you and strengthen your foothold." [Surah Muhammad 47:7]
