On 07/07/2014, a UN tribunal in the Hague gave a ruling to put an end to a 40-year long maritime dispute between Bangladesh and India over an uninhabited island. The Hasina government, which took the issue to the tribunal seeking their arbitration, designated the verdict as a victory because of the four-fifth of the 25,000 square kilometer exclusive economic zone that Bangladesh has been awarded. However, it is India that manifestly seems to be jubilant by the tribunal’s judgment which awarded the Island to India.
Comment:
The offshore island situated in the Bay of Bengal called South Talpatti (or New Moore Island by the Indians), holds a significant petroleum reservoir. Several mainstream Indian news media stated that both the control of the Island and the direct access to the Hariabhanga River are strategically a significant gain for India since the region contains twice the amount of hydrocarbons as compared to India’s biggest oil and gas reservoir – the Krishna-Godavari basin of Andhra Pradesh. It was reported that back in 2006, India discovered approximately 100 trillion cubic feet of hydrocarbon deposit in that region and due to its importance, India had stationed its Border Security Forces (BSF) over there temporarily.
As the verdict leads to giving up our territory to India, it is a wonder how it could be a maritime victory for the Hasina government. Moreover, the government’s argument that the Island had drowned long ago only demonstrates that it has been up to treachery since day one when it took the issue to the tribunal and that it has deceitfully helped India to swindle Bangladesh out of that strategic region.
It is high time the people of Bangladesh to dispose of the traitor Hasina and her likes who never care for anything other than the well-being of their US-Indian masters. These are hypocrites who claim to believe in what Allah سبحانه وتعالى has sent down, yet they refer to other than the Book of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the Sunnah of His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم for judgment.
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ وَيُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا
“Have you not seen those who say they believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They intend to resort to Taghut for judgment while they have been ordered to reject it, and Satan intends to mislead them far astray.”
(Surah an-Nisa: 60)
The duty of the Muslims is to uproot these puppets who will always be subservient to the colonialist Kuffar and their repressive tools, such as the UN. These international organizations must not be allowed to have any say on the affairs of the Muslims. Any negligence in removing these traitors who are giving away the resources of the Muslims through the arbitration of the Kuffar is considered a great sin due to being passive against the Munkar.
