End American Presence in Pakistan

Hizb ut-Tahrir condemns the Kayani-Sharif regime for its failure to prevent the murder of Muslims and destruction of their property in Rawalpindi, as well as target killings across the country over the Muharram period. The government’s measures included imposing curfew, closing down mobile networks and a ban on pillion riding, claiming that mobiles are used to trigger remote bombs and motorcycles from using guns to fire upon people. Yet, the murder and destruction did not stop. In fact with such “eye-wash” measures, it will never stop. All that happened is that the people were besieged in their homes, deprived of cheap means of transport and essential communication. Such carnage will continue as long as the government allows the poisonous American presence amongst us, which is the cause of the sectarian killings.

It is this growing American presence which is drowning Pakistan in insecurity and fear. It is no surprise when one considers that as soon as the American presence in Iraq became established after occupation, sectarian attacks raised their ugly head. In our case, since the time of Musharraf, the American presence has included fortresses masquerading embassies and consulates, which are used to fund, supply and groom agents on the ground. It also includes dozens of FBI and CIA offices which are used to perpetrate “black operations” against our population. This American terrorist infrastructure works directly to supervise destruction as well as infiltrating local groups. It is this structure that ensures the steady supply of huge funds, readily available guns and sophisticated bombs for such evil operations. And it is this growing cancer amidst our body which has overseen a huge surge in sectarian strife, since American embarked on its war on Muslims.

So, curfew should not only be imposed around troubled areas, but the areas which are the cause of the trouble, the American lairs and dens of mischief. This will choke the professional terrorists on the ground of all salaries and weapons and end this chaos.

Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for the return of the Khilafah to Pakistan to end the continual bloodshed. It is the Khilafah alone that will close all American embassies, consulates and bases. It will expel their diplomats, military, private military and intelligence. Thus the Khilafah alone will restore peace and security for all Muslims regardless of them being Jafari, Hanafi, Hanbali or any other school of thought.
