Muslims have not been stung merely twice, but countless times by the current system in Pakistan. Each time new faces come through coup or election, the people curse the old faces. However, only after a while, the new faces appear even uglier and more despised than the older faces. The current system is incapable of looking after the affairs of the people and securing the rights that Allah سبحانه وتعالى guaranteed humankind, regardless of their race, language, gender or religion.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
لَا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ
“The believer is not stung from the same hole twice.”
Muslims have not been stung merely twice, but countless times by the current system in Pakistan. Each time new faces come through coup or election, the people curse the old faces. However, only after a while, the new faces appear even uglier and more despised than the older faces. The current system is incapable of looking after the affairs of the people and securing the rights that Allah سبحانه وتعالى guaranteed humankind, regardless of their race, language, gender or religion.
Pakistan’s current system is a continuation of the British Raj occupation that abolished Islamic rule in the Indian Subcontinent in the first place. Even though the Muslims shed their pure blood to establish Pakistan in the name of Islam, it was the British Parliament that created Pakistan’s initial legislation under its Indian Independence Act of 1947. Even though Pakistan produced its first constitution in 1956, this and every subsequent constitution, including the present 1973 constitution, has been framed around British secular law. Whilst secularism is unlike atheism, as it does not deny the Creator, it is exactly the same as atheism in denying the Creator سبحانه وتعالى being the sole Sovereign over humankind, ordering and forbidding them according to all that He سبحانه وتعالى revealed. Instead, secularism gives human-beings the choice to obey Allah سبحانه وتعالى or disobey Him, even though Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed,
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمْ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلاَلاً مُبِينًا
“It is not befitting for a believing man or woman to have any choice in a matter, when it has been decided upon by Allah and His Messenger.”
(Al-Ahzab, 33:36)
The current secular constitution gives rise to the ruling system of democracy, which assigns assemblies of men and women as sovereign, allowing them to choose laws according to their whims and desires, even though Allah سبحانه وتعالى said
وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ
“And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires, and beware (O Muhammad) that they might seduce you from some of what Allah has sent down to you.”
(Al-Maaida, 5:49)
It is this democracy gives the right to any ruler, minister or member of assembly to choose to command what Allah سبحانه وتعالى has forbidden or to choose to forbid what Allah سبحانه وتعالى has commanded. It is this democracy that makes lords over humankind besides Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Bayhaqi reported that Adiyy ibn Hatim, said: “I came to the Prophet wearing a cross of gold in my neck. And I heard him read from Surah Baraa’ah,
اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ
“They took the rabbis and monks as lords beside Allah”
(At-Tawba 9:31)
I said, “O RasulAllah, they do not worship them.” He said: أجل ولكن يحلون لهم ما حرم الله فيستحلونه ويحرمون عليهم ما أحل الله فيحرمونه فتلك عبادتهم لهم “Yes, but they made Halal for them what Allah forbade and they took it as Halal and they made Haram for them what Allah made Halal and they took it as Haraam and that is how they worshipped them.”
The Objectives Resolution of 1949 does not fix secular democracy’s denial of Allah سبحانه وتعالى as sole and effective Sovereign over humankind. In fact, although this resolution begins by stating that ‘sovereignty over the entire universe belongs to Allah Almighty alone,’ it promptly transfers this sovereignty to the ‘Constituent Assembly,’ an assembly of men and women, though Islam mandates sovereignty is only for Allah سبحانه وتعالى. As for Article 227 of the constitution that provides for all existing laws to be brought in “conformity with the injunctions of Islam,” again this article gives the ultimate choice to the assembly. Thus, it is Pakistan’s secular democracy that has allowed successive governments, in over six decades, to prevent the implementation of most of Islam, if not nearly all of it, even though Allah revealed,
أَ فَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَابِ وَتَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضٍ فَمَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ إِلاَّ خِزْيٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى أَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِ
“Do you believe in a part of the Book and reject the rest? What else, then should be the retribution of those among you who do this than that they should live in degradation in the present life, and that on the Day of Resurrection they should be sent to the severest chastisement?”
(Al-Baqarah, 2:85)
O Muslims of Pakistan!
It is democracy, designed by and inherited from the colonialist Kuffar that separates our Ummah from Islam and its ruling system of Khilafah, whether in Pakistan, Egypt or Turkey, Tunisia or Indonesia. The claim that yet more elections within this system would bring change of system is a lie made to secure this system from abolition. Anyone who becomes part of democracy can never bring any change whosoever he may be and forever long he ruled. It is upon us all to turn away from this rotten system now and mobilize for the establishment of the Islamic Khilafah state.
Know that it is the Khilafah alone that assigns Sovereignty to Allah سبحانه وتعالى only. It is the Khilafah alone whose constitution is established on the revealed sources, the Quran and the Sunnah. Neither the elected Khaleefah nor the elected men and women of the Majlis-e-Ummah have any choice in referring to Islam, for they must always refer to Islam. It is the Khilafah alone that has establishes each and every article of the constitution upon Islamic evidences. Thus it is the Khilafah alone that ensures our education, foreign policy, economy, judiciary, consultation; accounting and removing of rulers are all according to Islam. It is only this Khilafah which will look after our affairs as Islam commanded. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,
كانت بنو إسرائيل تسوسهم الأنبياء، كلما هلك نبي خلفه نبي، وأنه لا نبي بعدي، وستكون خلفاء فتكثر، قالوا فما تأمرنا؟ قال: فُوا ببيعة الأول فالأول، وأعطوهم حقهم، فإن الله سائلهم عما استرعاهم
“The Prophets looked after the affairs of Bani Isra’eel. Whenever a Prophet died, he would be succeeded by another. There is no Prophet after me, but there will be many Khulafa’a.” They asked, “What do you order us?” He said, “Give them the Bayah one after another, one at a time, give them their right for Allah will ask them about their affairs.” [Muslim]
Know also that there is no leadership crisis in Pakistan, if you look outside of this corrupt system and those who line up to enter it. Hizb ut-Tahrir is amongst us to lead us to the establishment of the Khilafah. Hizb ut-Tahrir has prepared an entire constitution of 191 articles, accompanied with divine evidences from the Quran and Sunnah. It has prepared a library of books elaborating upon Islam, its solutions and its method of implementation. And it has produced armies of capable, aware and committed, men and women to advise and account the rulers of the Khilafah in their implementation of Islam. What remains for us is the question that many of us ask already, “How can I help Hizb ut-Tahrir establish the Khilafah?” The answer:
Our first duty is to raise our voice with Hizb ut-Tahrir against the Kufr systems of democracy and dictatorship. We must join in Hizb ut-Tahrir’s campaign that is taking place throughout the country to turn away from these man-made systems, dictatorship and democracy. We must harshly account any politician or political party that calls us to these corrupt systems and advise them to contact Hizb ut-Tahrir in order to work for real change, the re-establishment of the Khilafah.
Our second duty is to raise our voice with Hizb ut-Tahrir for our system, the Khilafah Rashida. We must join Hizb ut-Tahrir now and prepare ourselves so that we can bring the Khilafah again. Hizb ut-Tahrir has the capacity to prepare all of us so that we are able to carry the knowledge to others. So let us fulfill our duty to establish Islam and join Hizb ut-Tahrir now.
Our third duty is to call to ensure the Nussrah for the re-establishment of the Khilafah We must contact our uncles, fathers, brothers and sons in the armed forces to give the Nussrah to Hizb ut-Tahrir for the Khilafah. They must reject the false call of the traitor Kayani to support yet another round of democracy. Urge them to Clasp their hands firmly with Hizb ut-Tahrir now, remembering their brothers-in-arms who preceded them in establishing Islam as a state and a rule in Madinah, by giving the material support (Nussrah) to RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم, such as Saad (ra). When Sa’ad (ra) died, his mother wept and RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم told her,
«ليرقأ (لينقطع) دمعك، ويذهب حزنك، فإن ابنك أول من ضحك الله له واهتز له العرش»
“Your tears would recede and your sorrow be lessened if you know that your son is the first person for whom Allah smiled and His Throne trembled.” [At-Tabarani]
