“The curse of Allah is upon the one who offers a bribe and the one who takes it.”

According to a report released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Afghanistan on Thursday 7th February 2013, bribes paid in the country in 2012 totaled $3.9 billion. This is almost a quarter of the entire amount of aid the international community has pledged to Afghanistan in the Tokyo Conference equaling to the country’s GDP from the last two years. However, the total amount of bribes paid to officials in 2010 totaled $2.5 billion.

لعنة الله على الراشي والمرتشي

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“The curse of Allah is upon the one who offers a bribe and the one who takes it.”

It is a shame for us Muslims in Afghanistan, because all the miseries such as colonialism, oppression and corruption are the obvious side-effects of the capitalistic democracy implemented upon us by the Western colonialists, although Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed the best system to us. The Afghan government has been trying to at least reduce the level of corruption and extortion through its legislative amendments and reforms, but they are too ignorant to realize that capitalism itself is feeding the problem, not to mention that it is not being implemented wholeheartedly.

Imposing the capitalistic democracy on the Muslim and Mujahid people of Afghanistan has brought and broadened immorality, corruption, kidnapping, severe poverty and many other calamities to this part of Ummah. Capitalism has spread the behaviors called eating of ‘suht‘, which means earning and devouring the forbidden, which was the attitude of the cursed ones at the time of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. The rulers, judges, authorities and everyone else are plagued by the severe epidemic of extortion that emanated from nothing except capitalism, which has been challenging the rightful ones and supporting the deceitful.

It is therefore, upon the Muslims in Afghanistan to stand against the rotten and corrupt capitalistic democracy which has been imposed on them by the western crusaders and their slaves for more than 12 years.
