US Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy and Human Rights, Steven Feldstein, is visiting Sudan these days, and according to what was said by the official spokesman for the Sudanese Foreign Ministry Dr. Yousef Al-Kordofani, that the US official will meet with the Deputy Foreign Minister, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, the Human Rights Rapporteur, Chairman of the Electoral Commission, the Head of the Press and Publications Council, and the Secretary General of the Parties Affairs. The visit program runs for a week to visit the states of Blue Nile and Darfur. Al-Kordofani emphasized Sudan’s welcome for this visit.

This visit complements the recent US moves toward Sudan; which began at the invitation of Foreign Minister Ali Karti to visit America, followed by the invitation to the President’s Assistant Ghandour. These invitations were surrounded by mystery and their contents of agreements and discussions were shrouded in secrecy. Thereafter, the talk of a breakthrough in the relationship between the United States and Sudan began, in which the United States lifted the ban of the relations with the means of communication and software.

So what is it that America wants, and what is required of the regime in Sudan?

What America wants is to complete what it started of the separation of South Sudan from the North by fragmenting the rest of Sudan, which will be done by accelerating the work to complete this plot by offering something of a carrot in exchange for compromises required from the government. The strongly required government compromise today is to approve the autonomy of South Kordofan and Blue Nile, a demand made by America through the Northern strip but was rejected by the government after which the American broker, Thambo Ambiki, Chairman of the high-level mechanism and impartial mediator in the case file, returned in order to put forth a paper he called “Convention for the parties, including autonomy”.

The government has accustomed us to its constant raising of thick dust, showing outright rejection, then bowing down at the end, and implementing the required US commands, which was confirmed by the leader of the ruling party (Dr. Qutbi Al-Mahdi), when he informed the Middle East Newspaper, saying: “The government refuses things in order to return to accept what is worse, it is reluctant at first but then with a little pressure, it agrees with less than what it rejected at first”. We recall here the right of self-determination for southern Sudan; which the government considered a heinous crime, and then, after only a few years, it became a right and a heroic action, through which the separation of Southern Sudan took place, that America began to prepare for since the era of the late President Jaafar Nimeiri, giving autonomy to the south in March 1972 CE.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan warn the Ummah of the seriousness of this alleged American – Sudanese rapprochement. America is not a friend; it is the first enemy of the Ummah:

هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ

“They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah fight them! How they are perverted!”

(Al-Munafiqun, 63:4)

It is not interested in solving our issues, what matters for it is its own interests and implementing its plan, even if it was done so on our skulls. It is the maker of terrorism, its doer, protector, and the sponsor of its tools in the Muslim countries.

We warn the regime of the consequences of going too far in making compromises that would lead to the division and fragmentation of the rest of Sudan. So do not be tempted by what you perceive as a breakthrough in relations; it is a hidden poison, and America will not accept you no matter what you make of compromises, for indeed you have made several compromises in the past which harvested in anguish and remorse, thus it (America) will not be pleased with you at all as confirmed by the Words of the Al-Mighty سبحانه وتعالى:

وَلَنْ تَرْضَى عَنْكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلا النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى

“The Jews and the Christians will never be pleased with you until you follow their religion. Say, ‘Allah’s guidance is the true guidance.'”

(Al-Baqara, 2:120)
