Tunisia: President Releases Person Accused of Insulting Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and PM receives John Kerry in a Degrading Visit

Presidential spokesman, Adnan Manser, announced on Wednesday 19th February 2014 in Shams FM radio, the presidential pardon for Jaber Mejri accused in the case of publishing defaming cartoons of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم. Manser said that the Interim President Moncef Marzouki signed the amnesty decision a few days ago. At the same time, the Interim Prime Minister received U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, in a previously unannounced visit at the request of the White House; as the government only knew of the visit last Friday.

The declared aim of the visit is that Kerry came to discuss the latest developments in Libya and briefed on the government’s position of what is happening there. Whereas, the concealed is regarding the finer secrets of the country. In this particular circumstance; i.e. the country’s security situation, and the increased tension, the presidency and the current government are contributing to stoking Muslim sentiments. So that, the former is releasing the publisher of the defaming cartoons of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم in an exclusive and special amnesty, and the latter is receiving the US Foreign Minister without embarrassment to engage in the country’s internal affairs, while everyone knows that the entire Ummah is going to hold America accountable.

Are these actions and positions the rights of the new Constitution, which was originally drafted to please the Western policy, values and interests?!

Do these reckless acts serve as pouring oil onto the fire and prompt further chaos and crisis in order to create a suitable platform for manufactured terrorism and sinful material acts driving all to pay its price at the expense of the Ummah’s great project of liberation, revival and unity?
