Tour by Obama is Neither Friendly Nor Humane but One of Capitalist Interests

The tour by President Obama of America to several African countries which culminated in Tanzania has become the big talk for many, especially the thinkers. Some have gone to the extent of claiming that the tour is one of consolation, success and blessings of humanitarian aid and business for the toured countries and Africa in general.

“When he leaves you, he goes about the earth corrupting it, destroying crops and animals. Allah does not love corruption.”

(Al-Baqara, 2:205)

The tour by President Obama of America to several African countries which culminated in Tanzania has become the big talk for many, especially the thinkers. Some have gone to the extent of claiming that the tour is one of consolation, success and blessings of humanitarian aid and business for the toured countries and Africa in general.

However, following the tour, Hizb ut Tahrir East Africa clarifies the following:

The tour is not humanitarian, friendly or a blessing to the visited countries or Africa as the ideology implemented by America is Capitalism. This ideology is not friendly or humane as it measures everything in terms of interests.

America is very eager to continue exploiting and benefitting from the many resources and the huge deposits of natural resources starting from land, minerals, oil etc. All these are facilitated through fraudulent agreements, the cunning illusion of ‘free market’, economic cooperation and cunning aid programs to hoodwink the public. This is while America opens up markets for its companies.

Also, the intention of the trip was to strengthen the power of America politically following the stiff competition facing the country in Africa from countries like Britain in threatening its influence. That is why on this trip, Obama has stressed on his plan to nurture young African leaders – The Obama Administration’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).

Without forgetting American military and security objectives to strengthen its military influence everywhere through threatening poor countries and protecting its interests by fighting Islam under the guise of fighting terrorism.

Certainly, the Capitalist ideology and the countries that implement it are bankrupt and in contrast to the Islamic ideology of truth and justice with its Khilafah state which harnesses relations with others without intend to plunder resources or discriminate. However, its role is to establish justice and liberate people from human servitude to servitude of Allah, the Creator of the world.
