PHOTOS: Demo at the Uzbek Embassy in London to protest against the sexually molesting of Muslim sisters in Uzbekistan

On Saturday 20th December 2008, the sisters wing of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain organised a demonstration outside the Uzbek embassy in London for women only.

Over a hundred and fifty Muslim sisters demonstrated to protest against the sexual molestation of Muslim sisters by Karimov’s brutal regime. These Muslim sisters in Uzbekistan were arrested for alleged ‘religious extremism’ – the latest campaign against those who speak out against the tyranny and oppression of the Uzbek government.

Demonstrators pledged to keep campaigning to expose the regime and called for the return of the Islamic Khilafah to central asia, to liberate the region from dictatorships, safeguard the honour of all women and end the collusion with foreign powers in their so-called  ‘war on terror’.

The original news piece that exposed this unthinkable crime against the honour of our sisters can be read here.

A report published in June 2002 describing in graphic detail the persecution faced by Hizb ut-Tahrir in Uzbekistan can be viewed here.

To our brave and noble sisters in Uzbekistan inshAllah soon Allah سبحانه وتعالى will relieve you of your difficulty and change your situation to one of ease and prosperity.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in Surah al-Inshirah:

فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

“So truly where there is hardship there is also ease;

truly where there is hardship there is also ease.”
