Hizb ut-Tahrir Lebanon held the third annual conference on Sunday 24 Rajab 1429 AH July 27, 2008. Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Lebanon,Osman addressed the audience. He cautioned against sectarianism in Lebanon.

He said “The political events of today are nothing more than an extension of the existing international conflict that has existed for decades, if not more than a century. In the midst of this conflict and the international scramble for colonial spoils in the Middle East, Lebanon has always been central to the designs of western powers in the Middle East.

He concluded by saying: “Hizb ut-Tahrir, on the eighty-seventh anniversary of the catastrophic abolishment of the Khilafah, calls on all people in Lebanon, Muslims and non-Muslims, to work with Hizb ut-Tahrir to liberate the Islamic world, including Lebanon from the global system of disaster on the throne of the Arabian Gulf, America and other countries of the West, to return to the original identity”
