Hizb ut Tahrir: Khilafah Will Arise from Where It Has Fallen
Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Turkey held a Khilafah Conference on the Anniversary of Khilafah’s Abolition in Istanbul/Üsküdar
Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey held a conference under the title “Democratic Presidential Model or Khilafah Rashidah?” which is part of the ‘Return the Khilafah’ campaign from 3rd-10th March, in Istanbul. With the grace and help of Allah, the courtesy and the efforts of the Muslims, the conference became a big success.
Being held on the 3rd of March, the day of the Khilafah’s abolition, and its last seat, Istanbul, where at the same time the feverish discussions are happening about the presidential system, the conference attracted high attention. Therefore the event took place in national and local media.
The conference attended by guests from within the country and abroad enjoyed expansive participation. Hundreds of attendees who could not enter the conference hall due to being completely filled, had to watch the conference from the foyer areas.
Starting with the most beautiful of the words, the Qur’an al-Kareem, the conference continued with listening to the message of Hizb ut Tahrir’s Amir, the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah, which he sent specially for this conference. After highlighting the importance of the Khilafah for the Ummah, the esteemed scholar denoted that the true Khilafah had to be separated from the false one by stating: “The true Khilafah is not indeterminate. It is a distinguished system declared by Rasulallah صلى الله عليه وسلم and followed by the Khulafau Rashideen. The Khilafah is neither an emperorship nor kingship, nor is it parliamentary or presidential according to a republic regime. Khilafah is neither a democracy or dictatorship where laws are made by others than Allah, nor is it any other man-made system…. The Khilafah is the one which protects blood, honor and property and who is loyal to its responsibilities. It takes the bay’ah through agreement and free will and not through pressure and the use of force. People move towards it in safety and not through fear and anxiety…”
Afterwards, some of the esteemed guests held speeches of greeting, as there were: Chairman of İLKAV – Mehmet Pamak, Chairman of Mazlum-Der – Cüneyt Sarıyaşar, Chairman of İmkân-Der – Murat Özer, Chairman of Kalem Der – Ahmet Kalkan and Member of Hizb ut Tahrir Central Media Office from Uzbekistan – İslam Ebu Halil. They delivered their speeches of greeting and mentioned the importance of the re-establishment of the Khilafah.
At the conference which drew attention of media members, the speakers Engineer Mahmut Kar from Turkey, Sharif Zayed from Egypt, Muhammed Hanefi Yağmur and Ahmed al-Qasas from Lebanon respectively held their lectures. Dr. Iyad Qunaybi from Jordan had to hold his talk live via teleconference due to the ban of going abroad imposed upon him. The last part of the conference, with the dua held by Abdullal İmamoğlu, created an emotional atmosphere.
We express our gratitude to all Muslims who accepted our invitation and to all Muslims who put forth their efforts in re-establishing the Khilafah and say that Allah may be pleased with them.
Today, we have realized this conference in Usküdar under the slogan of “The flag will arise from where it has fallen”, and turn our eyes to Topkapı, counting the days till the announcement of the Khilafah Rashidah.
