Regarding the case of Hizb ut Tahrir that continues in the Criminal Court 14 in Istanbul, sharp sentences were imposed on the session held on Friday, 6th of December 2013. Where eight members of Hizb ut Tahrir who reside in Bursa were sentenced with a total of 67.5 years. In addition to this case, where the sentences totaled 67.5 years: Suaad Shoban was sentenced to 15 years, and Noureddine Joxoguzal, Nihad Kortaran, Sardar Yilmaz, Ismail Ozcan, Masoud Shahin, Ibrahim Ar, and Mohammed Sana Arat each were sentenced 7.5 years.
Turkey’s rulers and its corrupted judicial system must know full well that these imposed sentences is nothing but a major crime that angers Allah سبحانه وتعالى, His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم and the believers. These imposed punishments on members of Hizb ut Tahrir have never, and will never deter them from continuing their path, insha Allah. In fact, members of Hizb ut Tahrir have been subjected to arrests in Turkey since 1967 and this injustice even continues to this day; as the total years of sentences of its detained members during the reign of AKP (Justice and Development Party) reached 1688 years, and a total of 927 years of sentences are still to come once approved in courts.
However, what did members of Hizb ut Tahrir commit to deserve such heavy sentences? O for the love of Allah! What have they done to humiliate Muslims or oppose their interests from the laws of Islam? What have you seen from members of Hizb ut Tahrir except righteousness? What crimes did sincere members of Hizb ut Tahrir – who call Muslims to join them to apply and implement Islam in life, state and society – commit to invoke such heavy sentences? Is this called dawah to Islam according to your laws? What do those who rule with such heavy sentences over sincere Muslims earn except severe punishment of Allah? Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ
“Do not consider Allah to be unaware of what the wrongdoers perpetrate. He is merely deferring them to a Day on which their sight will be transfixed.”
(Ibraheem: 42)
Hizb ut Tahrir that you have not only chased its members but also imprisoned and sentenced them for long periods, it is not a party of one man like AKP. On the contrary, Hizb ut Tahrir is an Islamic political ideological party does not weaken before pressure and arrests, as the source of its strength is the intellectual leadership which it carries. Therefore, if you have the adequate ability to confront Hizb ut Tahrir with your ideas. However, if you do not possess the adequate ability, injustice will not last forever. Now consider what happened to your ancestors, as this corrupt regime will not last long for any one. Will you not heed and reflect?! The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيُمْلِي لِلظَّالِمِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخَذَهُ لَمْ يُفْلِتْهُ
“Verily Allah affords the oppressor some time, until when He takes hold of him, He does not let him go.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
