On the 27th of April 2013, hundreds of women, including journalists, representatives of organisations, and other female opinion-makers will gather at an important women’s press conference in Amman, Jordan to address the horrendous scale of suffering and brutal massacres that were committed against women and children in Syria at the hands of the butcher Bashar Al-Assad and his murderous Kufr Baathist regime. Syrian women from Jordan as well as those from Jordan’s Zaatari “death” camp where tens of thousands of women and children are living lives of desperation in deplorable, dangerous conditions will also be invited to attend.
This unique, unprecedented, women-only press conference has been organised by Hizb ut Tahrir with the support of its Amir, the eminent scholar of Usool, skilled politician, leading thinker Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, and is entitled, “Hasten to Establish the Khilafah to Protect the Honourable Women of Al-Sham”. Speeches on the day will include an opening address by the Amir of the party, followed by talks from the women’s section of The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir, a talk from a Syrian sister describing the bad situation in Syria, a female member of Hizb ut Tahrir Jordan, and a Syrian woman who will provide clear accounts of the crimes of the tyrant of Al-Sham regarding abduction, torture, rape, and murder of women and children by the Syrian regime that is without a conscience. There will also be video testimonies from Syrian women who will describe the horrific ordeals they have suffered under Assad’s campaign of slaughter and torture at the hands of the criminal Bashar al-Assad.
Speakers will highlight how the governments of the Muslim world and the international community have not only abandoned the women of Syria to their fate and failed utterly to offer any real solution to end these massacres but in addition to their empty statements and futile missions that have bought the Syrian regime time to murder Syrian women and violate their honour. The speakers will also emphasize how the leaderships of the Muslim lands have sat as idle spectators to this blood bath, complicit with this vile criminal without mobilising their armies as Nusrah to Ahl al-Sham or stop their sacred bloodshed despite presiding over some of the largest armies in the world, which will put an end to the vile criminal and Shabiha to unleash their vile crimes against the chaste and honourable women of Al-Sham. The conference will also direct a heartfelt appeal to the sons of the Muslim armies to fulfil their great Islamic duty to protect the blood of their sisters and to defend the dignity of their mothers and sisters in Syria without delay and to give their Nusrah (material support) to Hizb ut Tahrir for the establishment of the noble Khilafah state. It is this state alone, built purely upon Islam and it is this state alone that gives the woman her rights and protects her dignity. It is the State in which the Khaleefah is the guardian of the daughters of the Ummah who defends their lives and honour without hesitation or delay.
We call the media, and all women who sincerely seek real solutions to bring an urgent end to the massacres executed by the tyrants of Al-Sham to attend this unique and vital press conference. There will be an opportunity at the end of the conference for the press and audience to raise questions to the panel of speakers.
