An example of Karimov’s oppression against the members of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Uzbekistan’s prisons

In mid-June of this year, 2011, the oppression from the regime intensified against us to the worst imaginable levels. They tortured all the members of our party in this prison and forced them to reveal who amongst us takes care of the member’s affairs in the prison and supervises the religious lessons. One of prisoners could not tolerate the severe torture and he admitted that the one who leads the prisoners inside the prison is a man called Panji from Urgench city. And so they began torturing Panji whilst he stood solid, firm and patient, He said nothing about who takes care of the affairs.

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

The following incident took place in prison (уя 64/45) in Olmaliq town in Tashkent State:

Information from the prison:

In mid-June of this year, 2011, the oppression from the regime intensified against us to the worst imaginable levels. They tortured all the members of our party in this prison and forced them to reveal who amongst us takes care of the member’s affairs in the prison and supervises the religious lessons. One of prisoners could not tolerate the severe torture and he admitted that the one who leads the prisoners inside the prison is a man called Panji from Urgench city. And so they began torturing Panji whilst he stood solid, firm and patient, He said nothing about who takes care of the affairs.

So the chief of the prison and his co-director burned his hands and his feet, using a cigarette lighter and candlelight.

He was patient upon this torture and did not say anything to them, which led them to commit their brutal crime, burning his male organ, penis, which led to his death, may Allah have mercy on him.

Then one of the prisoners, a party member, filed a personal complaint to the Attorney-General in Tashkent, but the chief of the prison refused to send it to the Attorney-General. So, the member bit one of his fingers, cut it off and left it in the office of the chief. After these events, the Attorney-General came from Tashkent. The prisoner who cut off his finger asked him to investigate the details of the death of Panji. The Attorney-General then asked him, “How is your finger?” He replied: “If such things were repeated, I will do the same to the rest of my fingers.”

The members of the party fast in prison, despite this torture. The prison guards forced the fasting members to walk and jog for such long periods, that they became exhausted to the point of fainting. On the days when the inspection committees visits the prison, the prison guards send members who usually complain to the inspection committees to another prison, for a month, so that they do not speak.

This is but one example of brutal torture in the prisons of Karimov, the President of Uzbekistan, hateful against Islam and the members of Hizb ut-Tahrir because they call for Islam. Karimov advises his henchmen to torture these members and all Muslims who adhere to their Deen. His henchman uses all forms of brutal torture without fear from anyone. But Allah is watching them,

“Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the wrongdoers do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror.” [Ibrahim, 14:42]
