After making millions homeless, Holbrooke arrives in Pakistan to enjoy their miseries!!

On Holbrooke's arrival Hizb ut-Tahrir held demonstrations in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad

Richard Holbrooke, the American "viceroy", has arrived in Pakistan to take a report on the killings in Swat and to entertain himself through the miseries of the displaced, homeless Muslims of Swat. Hizb ut-Tahrir condemns the arrival of the ‘Butcher of Swat' to Pakistan. Holbrooke's visit to the camps of the displaced people and announcing an "aid" package is a sick joke against the people of Swat. It is the US herself who destroyed the happy families and their homes, and now rubs salt in their wounds by pretending to be a "saviour".

The only crime of these three million people was their demand for the implementation of the Shair'ah and the US punished them by making them homeless. Just to please the Americans, the current rulers are bombing their own Muslim brothers with artillery and gunship helicopters, as well as using our sons in the Army as a fodder in the ongoing American crusade. And now they plan on making Waziristan their new target for which the government has already started to use the media to build public opinion. The recent hostage taking of the students of the Cadet College was a step in that direction. This is the same policy which was adopted just before opening up an offensive in Swat, in which the media released the video of a girl being lashed and pictures of destroyed schools, so that the people would not resist Swat operation.

Today Hizb ut-Tahrir demonstrated in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad against the arrival of Richard Holbrooke. The demonstrators were carrying a banner which read: "Holbrooke Go Home". Protesters were holding placards inscribed with slogans such as "Eject all American presence which is the cause of insecurity and chaos", "Stop America's war which has displaced millions" and "O Pakistan Army! Turn your weapons against the American Crusaders". Members of Hizb ut-Tahrir addressed the gatherings and invited the Ummah to mobilise in order to stop the operation in Swat and for ejecting America from the region. Later the protesters dispersed peacefully.

The foreign influence in Afghanistan and Pakistan is not just limited to America. The British are competing for influence in the region, as far a field as Sri Lanka and India. Both China and Russia, which regional players such as Iran and India have a stake in Afghanistan. What is a lesser reported piece of news is the French rebuilding their influence in the Arab Gulf States and creating pacts tying the feudal monarchies to receiving French military ‘protection’, not dissimilar to British arrangements in Oman, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia.

Whilst this insane Anglo-American crusade against the Russian Federation and assault against the integrity of Eurasia continues, the N.A.T.O alliance increases its military presence throughout North Africa, East Africa, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Central Asia, and the Korean Peninsular.

Afghanistan and Pakistan (North West Frontier Province and Balochistan) are becoming increasingly militarised, the Anglo-American led N.A.T.O alliance is increasing its forces in the Indian Ocean and particularly off Southern Arabia and East Africa. Even though China and the emerging Far Eastern economies concerns North American and Western European policy makers, the immediate threat is being posed to the Muslim world. Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Somalia, have already been caught up in the latest conflict of interests between rival power blocs, and the ‘future’ battle lines are being drawn across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Iran, Central Asia, and Korea. Sudan and Syria could yet the next states to fall into the rivalry between competing power blocs. Whilst spheres of influence are contested over resources and strategic points, (battle lines are even being drawn over Antarctic and Artic regions). The Muslim World, and sub Saharan Africa are remaining impervious to these threats even though the theatre of conflict encompasses the majority of these populations!

It is worth noting that the Desert Campaign of World War Two was fought over North Africa (a mainly Muslim populated region), and the Pacific War also encompassed South East Asia with its supplies of oil and rubber (again the homelands of mainly Muslim populations). The inhabitants of these regions were merely ‘spectators’. During the 1930’s Japan fought to control China and contested Manchuria, destroying the livelihoods of many Manchurians who had no say in their affairs.
