On 26 November 2008, a crisis suddenly erupted in the Indian city of Mumbai. A handful of well-armed attackers were able to launch gun and grenade attacks on two luxury hotels, the railway station and other important sites. With reports emerging that the police refused to fire on the attackers, the crisis was drawn out over sixty hours before the elite military “Black Cats” troops finally ended the crisis.

And even as the attacks were taking place, only a single day later and without even a shred of evidence, the Indian Prime Minister in collusion with the Indian media squarely held Pakistan responsible for the attacks that eventually left well over a hundred people dead and hundreds injured. As such the Indian accusations are nothing but a pathetic attempt to deflect attention from the plain and obvious failure of the Indian system in looking after its own citizens. Indeed, India is a country that is beset by ethnic and sectarian strife, in danger of potential dissolution.

Apart from the well-known Kashmiri liberation movements, there are other notable secessionist movements such as the United Liberation Front of Assam, National Democratic Front of Bodoland, National Liberation Front of Tripura, Bru National Liberation Front, Arunachal Dragon Force and Khalistan Liberation Force amongst many others. Added to these secessionist movements are a myriad of Hindu movements that target Muslims and Christians, not the least of which is the Bharatiya Janata Party “BJP” which regularly uses anti-Muslim fervour for electioneering. The Hindu state itself has carried out brutal atrocities such as the burning alive of Muslims in Gujarat and has committed six decades of oppression against the Muslims of Kashmir.

As such, Indian democracy, the so-called “world’s biggest democracy,” like other democracies, is a majority rule that leans towards and favours the majority, whilst forsaking all minorities who are abandoned in the wilderness, desperately seeking “minorities’ rights.” This inherent weakness in democracy is compounded within Hindu democracy, by the fact that the bigoted Hindu caste system discriminates even against the lower caste Hindus, let alone non-Hindus.

As for America, it assisted the Indian finger pointing at Pakistan, demanding as usual that Pakistan does more. On 1 December 2008, the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, said, “we’re emphasising to the Pakistani government the need to follow the evidence wherever it leads, and to do that in the most committed and firmest possible way.” And the incoming President, Barak Obama, said on 1 December 2008, “My expectation is that President Zardari of Pakistan, who has already said that he will fully cooperate with the investigation, will follow through with that commitment.” This exposes the reality of America’s so-called mediation between Pakistan and India, where the Muslim must concede his right, bearing immeasurable humiliation and losses, whilst the colonialists continuously favour the Hindu, just as occurred in the time of the British Raj.

As for the rulers of Pakistan, rather than adopting a defiant, resolute stance, they crumbled before American pressure and Indian accusations. On 1 December 2008, President Asif Ali Zardari acknowledged that there are indeed non-state actors involved in the bombings and committed to “do everything in our power to go after these militants.” Whilst the Prime Minister, Raza Gillani, hurriedly agreed to ship the head of the ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) to India on the demands of the Indian government, retracting after a strong wave of public rejection at this weak behaviour and only then asking India for evidence to be provided! Woe to the rulers with neither dignity nor courage. For, indeed, it is weakness before the oppressor that only encourages further oppression.

O Muslims of Pakistan!

The Hindu threats and accusations against Pakistan in the wake of the Mumbai attacks, and the Hindu role in the recent chaos and strife throughout Pakistan, all make clear that the Hindus can never be friends of the Muslims for they will never waste an opportunity to harm the Muslims. And such is the folly of confidence building measures and normalization.

In contrast, under the nearly thousand years of Muslim rule, Hindus were granted peace, security and justice, before occupation by the British that lasted over a century. Yet, after over a millennium of being ruled by others, as soon as the Hindus acquired a substantial authority in the form of the Hindu state, they wasted no opportunity to oppress the Muslims, whether those of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kashmir or within India itself. Allah سبحانه و تعالى warned us of the enmity of the kuffar,

إِنْ يَثْقَفُوكُمْ يَكُونُوا لَكُمْ أَعْدَاءً وَيَبْسُطُوا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالسُّوءِ وَوَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ الممتحنة: 2

“Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve.” [Surah Al-Mumtahina 60:2]

O Muslims of Pakistan!

Your strength does not lie in conceding to the oppressor Hindu. Nor does it lie in surrendering yourselves before the Americans, who betray you at every critical juncture.

The way forward is to strengthen yourselves through the establishment of your deen, through the Islamic Khilafah state. Remember it was the Khilafah that sent Muhammad bin Qassim and his army as a response to Hindu oppression and established the basis for Muslim rule in the region. Today, the Khilafah will unify the Ummah as the single most resourceful state in the world, possessing larger armies, population, lands and energy resources than any of the world’s major powers. And it is the Khilafah again that will liberate the regions Muslims from the oppression of the Hindus. Moreover, you must know that the cowardly Hindu will never take the smallest of steps against the Muslim, unless he has the backing of a foreign power. In the past it was Britain during the time of the Raj, and today in the present crisis, it is America. As such expelling American influence from the region by establishing the Khilafah will be enough to instil fear into the hearts of the Hindus.

O Muslims of Pakistan’s Armed Forces! O sons of Muhammad bin Qassim!

RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم gave glad tidings of the Opening of Hind (India) and the great ajar (reward) in this Opening is represented in many hadeeth.

Abu Hurayra رضي الله عنه said,

وَعَدَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَةَ الْهِنْدِ فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتُهَا أُنْفِقْ فِيهَا نَفْسِي وَمَالِي فَإِنْ أُقْتَلْ كُنْتُ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ أَرْجِعْ فَأَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الْمُحَرَّرُ

“The Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم promised us the conquest of Hind. If I was to come across that I will spend my soul and my wealth. If I am killed then I am among the best of martyrs, and if I return then I am Abu Hurayra who will be freed from sin.” [Ahmad, An-Nisa’i, Al-Hakim]

RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

عِصَابَتَانِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَحْرَزَهُمَا اللَّهُ مِنْ النَّارِ عِصَابَةٌ تَغْزُو الْهِنْدَ وَعِصَابَةٌ تَكُونُ مَعَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام

“Allah will protect two groups of my Ummah from the Fire: a group that will Open Hind, and a group that will be with Esa ibn Maryam (peace be upon them).” [An-Nisa’i, Ahmad]

Being the neighbour of India and having the ability to change the situation in the most powerful Muslim state overnight, you have a golden opportunity to be the foremost to fulfil the glad tidings of RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم and attain the great reward which Allah سبحانه و تعالى has written for the Openers of Hind. But this is only possible in the presence of the Khilafah, whose foreign policy objective is for the supremacy of Islam in the entire world. So, will you not give the Nussrah (Material Support) to Hizb ut-Tahrir for the establishment of the Khilafah state? Do you not yearn to be the successors of the noble Ansar رضي الله عنهم, by giving Nusrrah to establish Islam again as a state and a rule? And do you not yearn to provide the “cool wind” that RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم gave glad tidings of? RasulAllah صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

أطيب ريح في الأرض الهند

“The most pleasant wind on earth is [the wind of] India!” [Al-Hakim’s Mustadrak]
