Tatarstan Mosque Demolished and its Imam Imprisoned

The imam of Al-Ikhlas Mosque Rustem Safin was sentenced on 24th September in the Peace court of Moscow, district of Kazan. Safin was sentenced to two years imprisonment in the colony of general regime under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 CC RF on charges of active dissemination of Hizb ut Tahrir education.

The reason for the prosecution of the imam was his active stance to protect the Muslims from the arbitrariness of security forces in July 2012. At that time imam Safin with the advent of Al-Ikhlas held a number of protests in support of hundreds of Muslims who were subjected to searches and arrests after the mysterious assassination of Mufti Fajzov and a cynical murder of his deputy Valiulla Yakupov. This issue was the reason for the persecution of Muslims in the form of mass raids and arrests across the republic.

The rallies and pickets conducted by Imam Safin and the advent of Al-Ikhlas were supported by all Muslims of Tatarstan and influenced the course of events in particular all the arrested Muslims were released and further searches were stopped. In addition harassments and protests under the banners and flags of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم rallied the Muslims and made them an influential force. It is the fact of association of Muslims that stopped security officials from further arbitrariness and became the leading cause of further persecution.

Later Al-Ikhlas Mosque was closed for formal reasons and then completely demolished. And after the demolition of the house of Allah, Al-Ikhlas Mosque, its imam was imprisoned.

By such abhorrent ways, authorities want to eliminate anything that leads to the unity of Muslims and the victory of Allah’s religion – Islam. But no matter how these servants of the cursed Iblis want to stop the spread of Islam, they are doomed to failure as Allah سبحانه وتعالى promised to complete the spread of His light even if the disbelievers hate it.

And Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

“Those who are kafir should not imagine that the extra time We grant to them is good for them. We only allow them more time so they will increase in evildoing. They will have a humiliating punishment.”
