After making restrictions upon the Islamic Da’wah and its carriers within the Mosques, we now have the government forbidding talking in public places. The Minister of Guidance and Endowments, Ammar Merghani Hussein, issued a decree to stop religious talk being undertaken in markets and public roadways or paths, justifying his position by stating that it was a step taken to regulate the Da’wah address and due to what the religious speech in markets and public roadways causes in terms of disorder, from which the beginnings of violence and security instabilities were on the verge of being generated from.
It has become clear that the current regime in Sudan has completely fallen in line with America in its war against Islam and has even abandoned its Islamic slogans, which it used to raise without it actually having any effect on people and their lives. This is being done coveting the pleasure of America who will never be happy until you disbelieve explicitly just as they disbelieve so that you will be the same. Allah ‘Azza Wa Jalla says:
وَلَنْ تَرْضَى عَنْكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلَا النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
“The Jews and the Christians will never be pleased with you until you follow their religion. Say, ‘Allah’s guidance is the true guidance.’ If you were to follow their whims and desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, you would find no protector or helper against Allah.”
(Al-Baqarah: 120)
And He سبحانه وتعالى says:
وَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُوا فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَاءً
“They would like you to be kafir as they are kafir so that you will all be the same.”
(An-Nisaa’: 89)
Verily, the Seerah (life) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ makes very clear that the Da’wah to Islam took place in the public paths, roads and places. Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ used to intentionally go to the people in the seasons of Hajj and these represented the biggest public gatherings of people just as Mus’ab Ibn ‘Umair (ra) used to call the people in Yathrib, before the establishment of the Islamic State within it, within the public pathways and places. In that case why is the regime forbidding speech to be undertaken in the public places and pathways?! The answer is clear and evident; into is to fall in line with the American plan in its war against Islam, in the name of the war against terrorism and extremism. The very expression that the minister used when justifying this (sinful) decree was that which America wants (regulating the Da’wah address/speech). It is that which fits with the American version of Islam which secularises it and empties out its contents, in the case where it is a comprehensive Deen encompassing the political, economic and social systems of life. They wish to restrict it to the acts of worship alone and make it a mere priestly ritual practised just like any other false priestly rituals.
Verily, we warn the government and its minister of guidance, who is in need of guidance himself to the Haqq (truth) and uprightness, that instead of making yourselves pliant to accomplishing the American wishes and objectives in its war against Islam, that you fear Allah in respect to this Ummah and that you do not work to prevent those callers to Islam from the truth and from the speech of truth. Allah Ta’Aalaa says:
وَلَا تَقْعُدُوا بِكُلِّ صِرَاطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آَمَنَ بِهِ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا
“Do not lie in wait on every pathway, threatening people, barring those who have iman from the Way of Allah, desiring to make it crooked.”
(Al-A’araaf: 86)
