Pakistan will not witness any change through Democracy
The results of Pakistan’s 11th General Elections make clear that there will never be change or a new Pakistan through Democracy. On the one hand the vote winners in the provinces are those who are skilled in corruption after decades of practice. On the other hand, in the centre, the winners are those who claim to want to end corruption, yet their ranks are filled with the corrupt, since in Democracy only the corrupt are “electable.” The pitiful situation was clear in the build up to elections, with the corrupt spending tens of millions of Rupees on campaigning, to secure their chance to rule so that they can secure billions of Rupees for themselves. Moreover, the 11th General Elections will only serve to confirm that which was clear in the previous ten general elections. Regardless of who wins Pakistan’s vote, the people will lose to colonialism. As with every previous election, the colonialist institution, the IMF will determine the framing of the budget, denying the people the full right of the immense resources of Pakistan and drowning them in poverty. As with every previous election, the US Pentagon and CENTCOM will determine Pakistan’s military policy, condemning our Armed Forces to the service of US foreign policy objectives regarding Afghanistan, India and China. And as with every previous elections, USAID and UNESCO will continue to determine the curriculum of the future of our country, undermining our attachment to Islam. The vote winner in Democracy is merely a jockey on a horse whose reins are firmly in the hands of America.
The 11th General Elections are over but Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan’s campaign for the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood will continue. Democracy has failed us all repeatedly and it will fail us again despite the supposedly new leadership at the helm of our affairs. It’s now time for all of us to work for the re-establishment of ruling by all that Allah swt has revealed and work with Hizb ut Tahrir to this effect. Hizb ut Tahrir is fully prepared for ruling by Islam, with a detailed blue print of the Khilafah and legions of committed and aware men and women, from Morocco in the West to Indonesia in the East, to lead us. Working for Khilafah is a duty upon all of us because ruling by Islam in all our affairs is not a choice, but an Obligation from Allah (swt).
Allah (swt) said,
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمْ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلاَلاً مُبِينًا
“It is not befitting for a believing man or woman to have any choice in a matter, when it has been decided upon by Allah and His Messenger.”
