“Hungary of the North” Intensifies Battle against Islam

The city of Copenhagen intensifies the battle against Islam and allocates 23 million Dkr to counter “radicalization”. This is a doubling of the budget and shall, amongst others, be used to strengthen the corporation with citizens and democratic Muslim environments, because as the responsible Mayor Anna Mee Allerslev stresses, “They are the key to reach the youth”. In addition, they want to strengthen their manipulation of thoughts and tyranny of perceptions by strengthening teachings in democracy in schools and give courses to parents on how to avoid so-called “radicalization”.

We, in Hizb ut Tahrir, have many times before addressed and exposed the reality behind this policy and the term “radicalization” as a battle against Islamic values and upbringing. Therefore this intensification does not come as a surprise. When a steady rising amount of youth hold on to Islam and make it their ideological position, then it is expected that the bankrupt opposition, in desperate convulsions, hopelessly wants to intensify an already lost battle.

In these times, where the debate about refugees is at its highest, one should consider why Denmark by many has been referred to as “Hungary of the North”. When the official statement in Hungary is that they do not want Muslim refugees and they thereafter treat them with inhumane brutality, it might be more than the less flattering designation as “transit country” for the needy, that makes up the commonalities with the official Denmark.

Some politicians, including the responsible Mayor in Copenhagen, wishes to present themselves as humane and open armed towards people in need, but as in Hungary, it is with certain conditions: Renounce your convictions. Renounce Islam. Adopt the western secular mindset, or you are not welcome. Yet should you decide to seek asylum here, we will fight you and your children with all dishonest means – until you succumb or we run out of money…

This is the message to Muslims within and outside the country borders, and with every new initiative it becomes harder to hide.

Muslims will never renounce Islam. The officials in Denmark have to consider if they want to continue down this road. Hand in hand with other totalitarian regimes, as forerunners in a new chapter in world history. Today, Denmark is called “Hungary of the North”. What about tomorrow?
