HT Bangladesh: In the blessed month of Ramadhan we must resolve to remove the current rulers and re-establish the Khilafah

Oh Muslims! In the blessed month of Ramadhan we must resolve to remove the current rulers and re-establish the Khilafah which will unite you and restore your glory

Alhamdulillah, the blessed month of Ramadhan is upon the Muslims again. In this month, the most blessed month, we fast in response to the command of Allah (SWT) and Muslims all over the world unite in performing this act of worship. It is the month in which Allah (SWT) revealed the noble Qur’an. Allah (SWT) says,

‘The month of Ramadhan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion.’ (TMQ Al-Baqarah: 185)

The noble Qur’an revealed by Allah (SWT) acted as the basis upon which the previous generations of Muslims were united instead of the primitive bonds based on nationalism, tribalism and patriotism etc. The Muslims all over the globe lived a life of honour and glory for more than 1300 years, under the banner of the Khilafah government which governed their affairs by what Allah (SWT) revealed. The Islamic Ummah was the leading power in the international arena and achieved historic victories; in the month of Ramadhan in particular. Under the leadership of RasulAllah (SAW) the Islamic State’s army defeated the Jahil forces of the Quray’sh, at the battle of Badr in Ramadhan. Also, during Ramadhan, the Islamic State undertook the Conquest of Makkah that established the Muslims’ authority over the entire Arabian Peninsula. After the era of RasulAllah (SAW), during the Khulufa’ Rashida as well as the Khulufa’ who came after them, Allah (SWT) granted major victories to the Muslims in the month of Ramadhan including defeating the crusaders and the Tartars.

In contrast when we consider our situation today, what state do we find ourselves in? Today we live in a state of decline even though Allah (SWT) describes us in the Qur’an as the Best Nation. We are divided and disintegrated. Our children die of hunger despite the fact that we possess most of the resources in the world and our lands are the most fertile. Today we are witnessing the murder of our sons and brothers and the dishonouring of our daughters and sisters. The disbelieving imperialists are occupying Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Chechnya, Kashmir etc though we have a history of achieving victories against all odds. The Ummah is humiliated and defeated, unable to mount any response to the enemy’s attacks and resist the imperialist aggression despite having a huge army of around five million soldiers. Yet Allah (SWT) says,

‘But honour, power and glory belongs to Allah, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites know not.’ (TMQ Al-Munafiqun: 8)

Oh Muslims!
Our humiliation and defeat started when we lost the Khilafah government on 28th Rajab 1342 AH (3rd March 1924). We are no longer the best nation because our current rulers do not rule by the Qur’an which gave us the most elevated system to govern life’s affairs. In our societies today Islam is confined to individual worships such as prayer, fasting, and zakah etc. Yet Allah (SWT) says,

‘Verily, We have sent down to you the Book in truth that you might judge between men by that which Allah has shown you’ (TMQ An-Nisa: 105)

Furthermore these rulers have kept us divided and therefore we are unable to pull our resources together despite the fact that if our resources were united we will become an economic giant. Since the abolition of the Khilafah government at the hands of the colonialists, the Ummah has been divided into more than 50 states ruled by agent rulers whom the colonialists imposed upon us. Yet Allah (SWT) declared the Ummah as a brotherhood,

‘The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic deen). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.’ (TMQ Al-Hujurat: 10)

We are defeated and humiliated because our rulers have turned our armies into peacekeepers rather than carriers of Islam like their forefathers, Khalid bin Walid, Muhammad bin Qasim and Bakhtiar Khalji. These rulers – all of them whether they are democratic, dictators or military backed – take the disbelievers as their masters and make our armies conduct joint trainings with our enemies. Yet Allah (SWT) says,

‘And make ready against them all you can of forces, including steeds of war in order to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy of Allah and your enemy’ (TMQ Al-Anfal: 60)

Oh Muslims!
Your current rulers have forsaken the Qur’an and the Sunnah. They have divided your land and wealth. They have surrendered you to the enemy. In this blessed month of Ramadhan, you must resolve to remove these corrupt agent rulers and re-establish the Khilafah in their place as it is the most important obligation from Allah (SWT). On the other hand if we accepted these rulers or remained silent about them, then regarding this RasulAllah (SAW) said, “Allah save you from the leadership of the foolish ones.” The companions asked the Prophet, “Who are from the foolish leadership?” The Prophet replied, “Those rulers who will come after me and they will neither heed my guidance nor follow my way (sunnah), so whosoever validated their lies and supported them in their treachery, will not be from me and I am not from them and they will not (be allowed to come near) my well, i.e. al-Kawthar, and whoever does not validate their falsehood and does not support them in their treachery, they are from me and I am from them and they will meet me at my well, i.e. al-Kawthar.” [Ahmad]

Oh Muslims!
The Khilafah government is the only government which will rule by what Allah (SWT) has revealed; unite the whole Ummah on the basis of the Qur’an and Sunnah; protect the Ummah from the enemy’s aggression and carry the message of Islam to the world through Daw’ah and Ji00d. In this blessed month of Ramadhan Allah (SWT) ties up the Shayateen, locks the gates of Hell and opens the gate of Heaven. In this month you have rushed to fast due to your belief in Allah (SWT). So respond to the demand of this belief fully which also obliges you to re-establish the KHILAFAH. Allah (SWT) says,

‘But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith until they make you judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions and accept (them) with full submission.’ (TMQ An-Nisa: 65)

And if we do not do this, then Allah (SWT) has warned us about the fruits of partially adhering to the deen revealed by Him (SWT),

‘Do you then believe in a part of the Book and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace in the life of this world and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most grievous torment.’ (TMQ Al-Baqarah: 85)
