How can the Increase in Taxes and the Rise of Commodities and Services Improve People’s Life?!

The Minister of Finance (Al-Rakaabi) assures the concern of his ministry regarding the increase of revenues for the sake of achieving the general objectives and to better people’s life. Directing the ones that take care of taxes, when he visited them, to broaden the tax canopy with the goal of increasing the linkage. Demanding the Court to increase the linkage by 120 % until the end of 2017 and 200 % next year. On an earlier occasion Al-Rakaabi clarified that the financial policy would continue according to the plan outlined by the previous Ministers of Finance, expecting the country to experience more loans and grants after the economic bans are lifted from Sudan.

We do not know how it can be said: to improve people’s life, and then increase the tax in the mentioned amount?! And assuring the continuation of the financial policy of the previous Ministers of Finance, which is known for its distress and how the rule affected the land, because the previous Ministers of Finance’s plans are but the International Monetary Funds’ plans, which have no concern for people’s life as little as it cares about the looting of wealth through riba-based loans (haram). Just as the previous Ministers over and over raised the price of fuels, wheat, gas and others in the past lean years, until life became an unbearable hell. And here the Minister of Finance warns of more hardship through increased taxes and following the path of the former losers. The Prime Minister (Bakry) warned us before that the finance would not be fixed without lifting the support (phishing phrase which means the raising of the price of goods and services), which in turn means more poverty la hawla wa la quwata illah billah. This is not strange because in the National Dialogue’s recommendations document states: “Strengthening and modernising the tax and customs administration and broadening the tax canopy so that it reaches all qualified financiers to pay the direct and indirect taxes and to raise collection efficiency without the need to raise the tax rate”.

Improving the life of people will only happen through the laws of Islam which forbid the indirect taxes on goods and services and forbids riba (interest) which is a war against Allah (swt) and His Messenger ﷺ and forbids monopoly and forbids eating people’s money in vain. This will only be applied in the shadow of the second Khilafah Rashida State (Righteous Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood which after committing to the Islamic laws will fulfil its duty of taking care of people and use the county’s resources for the good of people and not as it is the norm today where the resources are looted by the Kaffir exploiting West through the riba-loans that drain all the country’s resources and thereby becoming the colonist’s hostage.

People of Sudan: Wake up from your negligence and work for the sake of your excellency in dunya and your win in Akhira, by working with Hizb ut Tahrir, for the sake of the collapse of the state of collection and establishing the state of caretaking – the Khilafah Rashida (Righteous Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.
