“Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater”

“Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater”

Boris Johnson should know that the Muslims were saved the horrors of liberal capitalism and the backwardness of democracy, until the arrival of the British colonialists in India and the Middle East who imposed it upon them with bullets and swords.

Once again, Boris is leading the charge to whip up his uneducated hatred against Muslims. Amongst his many ill-informed statements, he has written that “there must be something about Islam that indeed helps to explain why there was no rise of the bourgeoisie, no liberal capitalism and therefore no spread of democracy in the Muslim world.”

What Boris calls “a fatal religious conservatism” is in fact a principled approach towards life built upon our Islamic Aqeedah (creed). Boris – a man of such fickle and selfish nature – can have no concept of such a virtue.

Our principles clearly make Muslims opposed to oppression, demanding of justice and participation in political life for all, and accounting of leaders and rulers. This is the real reason why Muslims could never allow a self-appointed capitalist elite to run amok using the democratic system to legitimise their corruption. Liberal capitalism is not fit for purpose and should be considered the worst crime against humanity, hence the traditional Muslim aversion to it.

Perhaps Mr Johnson’s attitude against Islam and his mis-telling of history is based on a grudge he has for the Ottoman state which expelled his liberal and Anglophile great grandfather during the Khilafah of Abdul Hamid II; his aversion is certainly not based on any truthful account of Muslim history.

Muslims and non-Muslims were never serfs as the common people of Europe were. There was no “church and state” collusion and conspiracy against the people, as there was in Europe. Hence, there was no impetus for the revolutions and the birth of capitalism and democracy, which took the people from the frying pan into the fire, which is an exclusively European phenomena. It is the height of arrogance and ignorance to make the European experience the standard to sneer down one’s nose at the rest of the world.

It is not a surprise to most Muslims that a British prime ministerial candidate should feel at ease spewing ignorance and hatred about Islam and Muslims. He is cut from the same cloth as those have who thought of themselves the elite of the world, who have long considered it their right to colonise the “third” world; and considered it their burden to “civilise the uncivilised.” Their arrogance is matched only by their ignorance.

Boris likes to pretend that his classical education entitles him to be in a superior class, while such comments show him to be woefully ignorant of Islam and Middle Eastern history.

Boris, the apologist for Winston Churchill and his contempt for Islam and Muslims, went on to defend his claim that there was “no stronger retrograde force” in the world than Islam. Churchill had also written of this: “Moslems [sic] may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die: but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.” This is the same callous Churchill who starved millions in West Bengal, and transported hundreds of thousands of Muslims from India to fight the Japanese, then abandoned them there. British policies towards Muslims have not improved much since then.

Boris also observed that for “virtually every global flashpoint you can think of – from Bosnia to Palestine, to Iraq to Kashmir – involves some sense of Muslim grievance”.

British governments left Muslims in Bosnia to be massacred, have ignored the murderous policies of the Zionist entity, after creating the occupation of Palestine, they ignored the massacres of the Burmese Rohingya, after creating Burma and denying the Muslims there any power, and they are currently ignoring the oppression and killing of Uighur Muslims in China. For the likes of such elite British prime ministers, from Churchill to Boris, the only good Muslims are the dead ones.
