The oppressive government of Sheikh Hasina has abducted two members of Hizb ut-Tahrir. According to family sources they were abducted last week and their whereabouts is still unknown.

The two members are:

1. Muhammad Ferdous Wahed, a student of BBA (4th Year), Department of Accounting and Information system, Dhaka University. He was abducted on 17/09/2011.

2. Muhammad Shakhawat Hossain Tuhin, an MBA graduate from Dhaka University and currently a student of Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) Profession Level 2 at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), Dhaka Campus. He was abducted on 19/09/2011.

Hizb ut-Tahrir strongly condemns this cowardly criminal act by the government and demands their immediate release. The government has resorted to abductions and vanishing of Hizb ut-Tahrir members after failing to deter the party through all types of repressive measures including banning, arrests, harassment, and brutal torture etc. Let Sheikh Hasina and her government know that Hizb ut-Tahrir’s organization and structure is established on a solid foundation with thousands of members, activists and supporters. Arresting and abducting party members will not weaken the party.

Furthermore the strength of the party is based upon the support of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the Muslims of the country. No matter how much is the severity of repression and how lowly is the government’s plotting the party will continue making advances towards establishing the Khilafah. Indeed the plotting of the government is based upon what the accursed Shaitan guides them to and it will be of no use against the plots of Allah سبحانه وتعالى in supporting his sincere servants.

إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا
