On August 31, 2018, Sheikh Hasina’s government has signed Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of electricity grid interconnection along with for some other instruments during the fourth summit of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) – a key vehicle to materialize India’s regional, strategic and economic aspiration, with the blessings of her colonial masters. This signing will pave another way for India to deeply anchor itself in the strategic sectors of Bangladesh as part of its plan to penetrate every strata of our country. Already, the Hasina government has allowed several Indian companies to participate heavily in our energy sectors which are severely harmful for our sovereignty and economic interest. From signing a defense pact last year to purchasing 500 million dollars’ worth of obsolete Indian military equipment to letting Indian companies do business in our strategic sectors like energy, this slavish government of Hasina is giving all the leeway to India – the sworn enemy of Muslims in Bangladesh – to have total dominance on our territory.
Moreover, it has become evident once again that such pacts are not meant for any betterment for the Muslims, let alone protecting and safeguarding them against aggression and unjust treatment from the real terrorists. All we heard in this summit are fiery rhetoric against so-called terrorism and terror-patron states from the leaders of the member states of BIMSTEC, but there was no mention of the plight of persecuted Rohingya Muslims who had to flee the state-sponsored terrorism of Myanmar. Rather than protesting over this treacherous silence on Rohingya genocide, our spineless State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam rather said that the Rohingya crisis would not affect the BIMSTEC process and bilateral relations – clearly indicates how detached our pathetic leaders are from the emotion and aspiration of the Ummah. So, this signing is part of New Delhi’s continued attempt to strengthen the political, economic and military relationship with Dhaka. And our lackey government is agreeing to all Indian demands, ignoring the rights of our people, so that they can secure their power by proving themselves the true slave to the colonialists, US-UK, and their regional ally India.
Oh Muslims! Don’t be deceived by the oratory of the leaders of the BIMSTEC. This sub-regional organization is nothing more than another means to ensure Indian dominance in South-East Asia, and unfortunately our lackey government is cooperating in it to secure its power. How can we have cooperation tie with enemies whose hands are tainted with Muslim Blood? If they would have at least concern for peace for this region, they could not have ignored the heinous genocide of the Rohingya Muslims.
O People of Bangladesh! This so-called secular democratic system is the main reason that we get the likes of Awami and BNP rulers who are sold-outs to colonial powers and their regional ally India. They rule over us as their agents and serve their interest than the interest of the people of Bangladesh. We must get rid of these rulers by removing this corrupt system. We urge you to stand beside Hizb ut Tahrir in its struggle to re-establish the Khilafah Rashida (rightly guided Caliphate), which will never be subservient to any Polytheist state and would rather uphold the interest of the Ummah with utmost priority.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِكُمْ لاَ يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالاً وَدُّواْ مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاء مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
“O you who believe! Take not as (your) bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse.”
