Government and Media hand in hand spreading physical and mental unrest among people of Pakistan

Lahore was deprived of its usual lively look once again after a blast in the DHA area in which some eight innocent people lost their lives and over 30 suffered injuries.  There were conflicting reports about the nature of the blast, and in the meantime, a bomb hoax in Gulberg after the DHA blast worsened the situation.

Comment:

Since the February 13 blast on the Mall in Lahore, the city is in a constant state of fear and confusion. Some blamed it as an Indian attempt for the moving of the Pakistan Super League final away from Lahore, while the Government focused on Afghan influence to the extent that it launched a written campaign against the people who are of Pathan origin or even look like Pathans. Just after ten days, Defence blast happened on Thursday. It turned out to be a gas explosion but caused chaos in the city, especially when media up front claimed another blast in the area of Gulberg. The cherry on the top was played by the poor management. All educational institutions announced an early leave and parents rushed to get their children. That not only resulted in panic on the roads but also could have provided an opportunity for another terror attack.

This shows the Government’s failure, not just in external affairs but also in internal affairs, and the media turning a blind eye from the real stories and spreading sensationalism. We see that a major incident happens and civil and military leadership registers its protest to the USA and launches an operation against the terrorists but after a little while things become normal on the surface till the next incident happens. This pattern is being followed since Pakistan became a part of this American imposed “war on terror”. Following the same pattern, current COAS Gen Qamar Bajwa also made a telephone call to US Maj Gen John Nicholson to discuss his concerns over the current acts of terrorism, and the ISPR also claimed the Army had killed more than 100 militants across the country. The confusion of people goes in favour of the corrupt leadership as the day people recognise their true enemy they will be focused on eliminating it, so keeping them busy via diversions is assuring the safety for the authorities.

The people of Pakistan need to understand that, like the rest of the Muslim world, they are a target of a western- imposed war, and dialogue with the enemy or seeking help from the friend of the enemy will be of no use. Khilafah will not only be the reason for eradication of terrorism but also will have a solid media policy preventing the dissemination of false news.  Now is the time for swift action for saving the future generations from a confused life and a chaotic unexplained death. Making the Muslim youth understand that they are the true leaders of Pakistan and safety only lies in following Allah سبحانه وتعالى’s orders. Become the true media representatives of the people and spread hope and strength in this time of need, as the Holy Prophet pronounced the required strength of a believer.

The Messenger of Allah said:

«لاَ يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ»

“The believer should not be stung from the same hole twice.”
