Recordings of an Egyptian intelligence officer have been leaked asking influential TV hosts in Egypt to persuade their viewers to accept the US decision in recognising Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist entity.

At the same time, Egypt supported a UN resolution rejecting the move, although the resolution was vetoed by the US – highlighting the dubious and rhetorical facade displayed by Arab rulers when it comes to supporting the Muslims.
