Erdogan’s UN Speech Shook Social Media

News Agencies reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has made a stunning speech in New York during the 71st session of United Nation General Assembly, which became a Trending Topic on Twitter under the hashtag #ErdoganVoiceofTheOppressed.

He touched on subjects from the war in Syria and Iraq, the refugee issue, the re-admission deal with EU, to the coup attempt in Turkey. He also expressed his views on the UN, stating that “The world is bigger than five” referring to the five permanent members of the Security Council’s decision-making system. “Five permanent member countries of the UN don’t have the right to seal the fate of the rest of the world. The world is doomed to these five countries. A Security Council that does not represent the whole world cannot ensure justice”, suggesting a Security Council of 20 permanent members. However, there is a vital deficiency, furthermore a mistake, in his suggestion…

Erdogan said, “Hundreds of thousands of children, women, young and old are still being killed in the grip of terror and war. Refugees who fled persecution and death have to face humiliating treatment in European cities. In many countries of the world, people struggle against hunger, epidemics, poverty and illiteracy. This is a shameful picture harming the human dignity and conscience. What is more painful is that most of these problems are mainly easy to solve”, expressing that “the international community has failed to live up to its humanitarian values and conscience.” Stating that Turkey spent 25 billion dollars for refugees so far, while the international support remained weak he said, “Unfortunately the EU was not able to keep its promises.” “We strived to cooperate with regional and global actors, believing this is a common matter for the whole mankind”, putting forward that Turkey succesfully fulfilled its commitments within the agreement with the EU, but underlined that the European Union in fact “forgot the promises”. Although this time he did not express explicitly the disappointment after the July 15 events, he indicated it by saying “I take pride in my nation“.

In fact, President Erdogan put into words, what the Muslims wanted to shout out for years. This is the reason why the #ErdoganVoiceofTheOppressed tag turned quickly into a Trending Topic. Unfortunately however, these statements of Erdogan show only that he aims at solving these problems through the ideology of the UN, the EU and the USA. Whereas the main source of these problems is the Western secular democratic capitalist order itself. Moreover those who attempted the coup on July 15, attempted it in the name of secularism and democracy. And the secular democratic West, perplexed by the success of the Muslims, beat around the bush and took a stand against Turkey instead of supporting it. The truth is that the UN and organisations the like (NATO, IMF, World Bank etc) are institutions established by the West, and in particular America, in order to exploit the world and to use them for their own benefit. These institutions are without a doubt the enemy of Islam, because they know very well that Islam is the only ideology that is an alternative and a strong rival to capitalism, the ideology they are serving. Allah سبحانه وتعالى warned the Muslims against the Kuffar with these words:

“O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves, for they will not spare you [any] ruin. They wish you would have hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason.”

(Al-i Imran 118)

The main source of all problems on this earth is the secular, democratic capitalism. The world groans under the tyranny of those powers who adopted this as a principle. And those who claim the lack of democracy or insufficient implementation of secularism, are again the same secular democratic capitalists. Or do you see any other ideology than this ideology being implemented anywhere in the world? Have you ever seen a country developing to the better where the UN set a foot on, or where the IMF or World Bank granted a credit to? Or that it is not shaken by a (civil) war??? Is this not exactly that what Erdogan says when he takes a swipe at them at any occasion – their betrayal, deception and hypocrisy? There exist only and only states in every handful of soil in this world, whose constitutions and governments take profaneness, meaning secularism, and democracy that gives authority to the limited, incapable human who is subjected to his whims and desires ensured through the so-called freedoms, as a basis. The sole aim of secular systems and their organizations is to protect the capitalists, increase their wealth, protect the interests of the West, and to implement their colonialist plans. For this aim, they go back on their promises, renege, and if necessary produce laws contradicting their own principles, and find a fitting reason, at every opportunity. Today it suits them to tolerate the critics of a man like President Erdogan (who, according to them, is a dictator and has to be watched over with great attention), even in their own assemblies. However, as soon as they are done, they won’t let him lift a finger, let alone criticize. We have seen plenty of such examples.

The Ummah must know this very well: No matter if Erdogan’s speeches become a trending topic or not, they are surely not a progress in the direction they desire. The Ummah wants Islam to be a lifestyle to which people are invited to and not one that has to be justified, as it was the case in the past. It wants the world to fear the ONE and not the five. This however, will only be possible through re-establishing the Khilafah Rashidah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood which will make Islam dominant in our lives, as Allah سبحانه وتعالى ordered. And this is an obligation! And here lies true dignity…
