Obama and the Western Democracies Throw out Myanmar’s Muslim Rohingyas for the Sake of Greed

Imagine, that the President of your country has called for your segregation and expulsion, yet is tipped for the next Nobel Peace prize. The leader of the opposition is already a Nobel Laureate: Aung San Suu Kyi speaks for democracy, but not for you.

Imagine denial of citizenship, land and property rights. Imagine forced labor and travel restrictions. Imagine a community persecuted without remorse, needing permission for marriage, forbidden children, no more than two, and still you cannot begin to imagine

the horror of being a Muslim Rohingya in democratic Myanmar.

Cast out, and from every harbor turned back,

Murdered, by fire, by sword and by silence

In the cruel sea alone are you welcome, tossed by its waves, adrift …

In the Bay of Bengal…

You come from Myanmar, but you are Muslim and there is no place for you.

You are Rohingya, from the Bay of Bengal.

Though rich in natural resources, Myanmar is poor.

And in the eyes of the world’s venture Capitalists and the disingenuous democracies that service them, Myanmar is a proverbial “Golden Goose”. Capital is now flooding into Myanmar, which will be managed by the World Bank and duplicitous western democracies that pay lip service to human rights, only to ditch these at sea, for the sake of devouring Myanmar’s resources and further despoiling its peoples.

US President Obama will visit; New Zealand has launched a charm offensive. From every corner of the globe, they are dashing in for a share in the spoils.

On the 4th November, 2012, the flood gates of greed were opened wide, when Myanmar’s President, Thein Sein, signed the “foreign investment code” after agreeing to remove all limits on foreign ownership of joint ventures. And it is this, rather than any services to humanity, that is earning President Thein Sein applause from the world’s devious democracies.

The week-ending 4th November, coinciding with the “foreign investment code,” was indeed busy.

• After 25 years of sanctions, the World Bank announced it will start by sending $80 million in aid.

• The European Union’s commission chief, came in person to Myanmar to congratulate Thein Sein and offer $100m.

• Global accountancy firms, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers set up offices.

• The Swiss sent their Foreign Minister to open an embassy, while the Norwegian and Danish Prime Ministers came in person to open theirs.

But as the embassies were opening for business,

 The New York Times was reporting, that: “Radical Buddhist groups were preventing doctors from delivering assistance to their victims,”

 The Guardian newspaper reported “countless bodies floating in the Bay of Bengal…”

 And the United Nations was forced to evacuate its entire staff from western Myanmar.

Earlier that week, there were photos of KyaukPyu, where 800 Muslim homes were burnt to ashes in a day. The US ambassador to Myanmar, Derek Mitchel, went with the British and Australian ambassadors to visit that area, which, according to Forbes Magazine, will be a new oil and gas terminal, and he described the violence simply as, “sobering” and “affecting the reputation of the country”.

The western democracies are racing each other into Myanmar, not wanting to lose first mover advantage. They will not save the Muslim Rohingyas, thousands are dying. Furthermore, after Myanmar is denuded, they would leave nothing but crumbs for the Buddhists who opened to them the door.

So what should the Muslim countries do?

The Quran is explicit:

وَإِنِ ٱسۡتَنصَرُوكُمۡ فِى ٱلدِّينِ فَعَلَيۡڪُمُ ٱلنَّصۡرُ

“And if they seek help from you in the matter of religion, then it is your duty to help.”

[al Anfal:72]

Muslims are fleeing in overcrowded boats to Bangladesh, whose heartless Foreign Minister, Dipu Moni, said: “We’re already burdened with thousands of Rohingya refugees staying in Bangladesh and we don’t want anymore.” Human Rights Watch described the condition of those living in Bangladesh’s refugee camps as, “the worst that seasoned aid workers have ever seen”, and new asylum seekers are being sent back to drown in the open sea.

The rulers of the Muslim countries have done no good for the Muslim Rohingyas. They are deviated dupes, enchanted denizens of the western democracies – all scrambling for plunder. Under democracy’s destructive hegemony, the whole world cries out in need, and the sincere Muslim must answer with Islam and Khilafah.

Islam spread through what is now Myanmar at the time of the Khaleefah, Harun al-Rashid, and when the people saw the greatness, truth and justice of Islam they embraced it, and ruled by it for centuries, till the Khilafah weakened and disbelievers managed to plunge the region back into darkness and discrimination.

Democracy now promises to bring a new form of discrimination to Myanmar that cares little for religion or race, where the rule of the game is: “first come, first served” and “survival of the fittest”. Greed, not mercy, is democracy’s first name.

But Islam is rising,

Coming over the horizon

Justice and Truth – are on their way.

And by Allah’s will

The Khilafah will be upon us soon and under its majestic shade Muslims and Buddhists alike will enjoy protection, peace and prosperity.
