The Independent Newspaper mentioned that China has once again banned fasting in Ramadan in the Xinjiang province and mentioned that all of the Muslims in the province, who are known as the Uighur minority, were demanded not to fast during the blessed month. News has been reported about an intensification of the Chinese authorities, who have colonised East Turkestan, in their campaign to prevent the Muslims from practising the obligation of fasting. This includes measures such as forcing school children to eat in the presence of teachers and school administrators to make sure that they are not fasting whilst forcing the restaurants for Muslims to work during the daylight hours of Ramadan.

The Uighur, which means unity and solidarity, are a Muslim people of Turkish origin and are concentrated in the East Turkestan region which has autonomous rule. It is also known as Xinjiang and covers the land space which is equal to a sixth of China. They are also located in some of the south central regions of China and their number is less than 32 million people. They entered into Islam like the people of India and Indonesia through trade and by Muslim travellers and as a result the Islamic Aqeedah took root within them, a matter that (later) agitated the communist atheist rule in China. Historically more than a million Uighur Muslims were killed in 1863 just as a million were also killed in confrontations that flared up in the year 1949 when the Chinese communist regime under the leadership of Mae Zedong occupied the province, revoked its independence and incorporated it into the Chinese republic whilst giving it the name Xinjiang which means a new carved area in the Mandarin language. Following that they began to vacate the region of its Muslim inhabitants and then distribute them in a number of different regions or provinces so that they would become a minority in their new places of living. As a result the percentage of Muslims living in Eastern Turkestan has dropped from 84% in 1945 to less than 50% today.

Similarly they have been restricted and harassed in their acts of worship, Islamic appearances and in the destruction of their Masaajid and removal of their schools. In spite of all that suffering their great love for Islam is still present and remains firm, and this distresses the Chinese authorities even though the Muslims are a peaceful and calm people. However the Chinese authorities were not satisfied by what they have been doing to them for 6 decades in respect to inhuman treatment, deportation and expulsion but rather they also aim to prevent them from practising their basic and fundamental Islamic practises whilst using the same excuse that all the enemies of Allah in every place in which there are Muslims use: ‘Fighting terrorism’. This has become blatantly clear since the coming of the month of Ramadan in the year 1436 AH in the case where this year has become distinguished by the flourishing and increasing power of social media which has entered the halls of the criminal regimes and exposed them whilst increasing the exposure and revealing clearly their treatment of Muslims. And so the a picture has been carried across media from this oppressed Islamic quarter showing the Chinese security forces forcing one of the Muslims to break his fast after forcing him to the ground and putting a bottle in his mouth forcing him to drink and to prevent him from continuing his fast. Indeed Allah سبحانه وتعالى said the truth in precise Revelation when He says:

قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

“Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason”

(3:118)

Despite all of this, the rulers of the Muslims with their complete silence and their efforts to please the rulers of China are partners with them in their war against Islam and the Muslims.

The communist states have not learned from the lessons from history that Islam cannot be defeated. What the Soviet Union (of ugly repute) did in respect to the Muslims of Siberia did not land a decisive blow against Islam and indeed that which was dealt a decisive blow was the Soviet Union itself and it was then trampled upon with their shoes. The Muslims became victorious in their lands because Islam is the highest and nothing will ever be higher than it and because it is a divine Deen and not man-made and is defended by the Lord of the humans, life and the universe.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ

“Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful”

(22:38)

The only true Islamic Khilafah state upon the methodology of the Prophethood is what will bring victory to the Muslims in China as well after the armies of the Islamic Ummah who are stationed in their barracks have disappointed them, betrayed them, and have protected the rulers from the anger and scorn of the Ummah. Was it not the army of the Khilafah that struck fear into the King of China on the day that the Cheosres of Persia sought his support against the army of Khaalid Bin Al-Waleed when the Chinese leader was frightened and refused to come to Choesres’s aid saying: ‘O Choesres I have nothing (to offer) in front of a people who if they wished to remove mountains they would remove them’.
