On the 13th January 2016 the Washington Times reported that the Chinese government is planning to extend their efforts in their war against Islam by sending troops to join international forces operating around the globe. “China is said to be concerned that the ‘Islamic State’ is moving into western China, specifically Xinjiang province, where Muslim Uighurs in the past have joined Islamist terrorist groups like Islamic State rival al Qaeda.”
Comment:
China’s enmity towards Islamic practices and the persecution of Muslims in East Turkestan (Xinjiang) is well documented and has a long history. In 2015 the Chinese Government issued punitive edicts in the Xinjiang’s capital, Urumqi, banning Muslim women from wearing the Hijab, Jilbab and forcing them to wear short dresses in the street. Males were targeted for praying in the Mosques and growing beards. However public attacks and insults are no longer satisfying their vengeful thirst against Muslims. Reports have emerged that the Chinese authorities have escalated their oppression of Muslims by threatening Muslims in the local areas to spy on their fellow Muslims and inform the authorities about those women who wear Hijab in their own home! Failure to co-operate will be met with torture or imprisonment. Forced entry into the private homes of Muslims is routinely practiced in an attempt to remove all sense of dignity for the Ummah of Mohammad ﷺ. The Washington Time’s article debated if China would side with Russia or America, which is an irrelevant question, for Muslims know the advice of the Prophet ﷺ that non-Islamic political leaderships of the world will always be united against the dominance of Islam which challenges their illegitimate authority. Allah سبحانه وتعالى informs us in the Quran in Surah Al Anfal ayah 36.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ
“Those who disbelieve spend their wealth barring access to the Way of Allah. They will spend it; then they will regret it; then they will be overthrown. Those who are disbelievers will be gathered into Hell.”
Islamic History has shown that for every violent oppressor waging war against the truthful believers of Islam, Allah سبحانه وتعالى has sent a pious liberator supported by the power of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. We pray that the pure good Muslim women of Xinjiang remain steadfast in their unshakable resolve to worship Allah سبحانه وتعالى alone and submit to no other false power.
