Recently, participation of Chinese, Saudi and Turkish troops in the celebrations of Pakistan Day was given much importance and was portrayed as an achievement. Pakistan Day commemorates the passage of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940, under which the Muslims of the British Indian Empire demanded a separate nation. (hindustantimes)

For the people of Pakistan, the Pakistan Day parade has always been taken as a power show. The armed forces show off their might and weapons are displayed, and this is supposed to put terror in the enemies’ hearts. Any new missile or weaponry used to be an open boasting against India with the message that we are ready to fight but this readiness always stayed a lip service. We saw many innocent people dying on and near the border areas with no retaliation from the forces who are supposed to protect them. And in the Musharraf era, the enemy changed and people of Pakistan were told that the real battle was with the enemy within. Soon the bearded maulvi (cleric) replaced the dhoti (loincloth)-clad Hindu. So this latter tradition was put on a halt for seven years as a terrorist attack was feared.

Participation of China, Saudi Arabia and Turkey in the recent Pakistan Day Parade is a part of ongoing regional politics. The reason of this unity goes totally against the essence of the 23 March 1940 resolution, where it was agreed that the Muslims of India needed a separate homeland to live freely according to their faith. A nation state made in the name of Islam ended up fighting it as it embraced the new religion of capitalism. Now the very State is making friends with the countries that are responsible for the spilling of Muslim blood. How can we expect any good out of this? We all have witnessed the ongoing Indian brutality in Kashmir and Pakistan’s silence about it. We see Turkey turning a blind eye to the Syrian massacre and Saudi Arabia actively killing people in Yemen. China is making deals with Pakistan without ‘Uighur’ creeping into conversation, where Muslims suffer unthinkable atrocities from the Chinese Government. This makes it easy to understand that this basically is an acceptance of each other’s personal space in brutality and the only help offered will be on the same grounds.

This Ummah needs Khilafah to see that how a coalition is formed in defense of Muslims all over the world, a coalition that totally understands the hukm of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and applies it as it is commanded. A force that only surrenders to the Almighty. Only then our problems will be solved and enemies will be dealt with, as they deserve to be dealt with. Dear Muslims, stop being fooled by the empty words and malicious actions of your traitor leaders and focus on the words of your Lord and demand their implementation.

تَرَى كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِي الْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَالِدُونَ

“You will see many among them becoming allies to those people who disbelieve. Evil indeed is that which they have sent forward before themselves; for that (reason) Allah is angry with them, and in torment they will abide.”
