Another Imaam is murdered in Russia

On the 20th of August, a sinful act of murder took place against the Imaam of the Irghakli village in the district of Stavropol, Zhameer Beik Mahmoudov. He was an Imaam and activist within the community and he showed concern for the problems of his believing brothers and defending the fundamentals of Islam against the attacks of the Russian government when he was shot in the courtyard of the Masjid. Allah سبحانه وتعالى took the soul of a sincere man who worked against Islamophobia which the Russian policy adopts and he was killed in the village that is considered to be the launching point of the struggle against the prevention of Muslim girls from wearing the Khimar in the land.

The official narrative for the investigation does not concern anyone and one of the departed Imaam’s relatives stated during the Janaazah, ‘It was the regime that murdered Zameer Beik just like other Muslims (before him)…’

The Muslims have comprehended for a while now the nature of the enemy that they are facing because the killing of the Imaam and Muslim activists has become an ugly norm and particularly as the last two occurrences have both occurred in the Stavropol district. On the 14th June 2014 after the summons by the employees of the state intelligence services of Zameer Tayibov to speak with him he was then found dead after that. And on the 21st of July 2014 the security services killed the activist Almaaz Abdun Naasirov justifying that with the argument that he displayed resistance. Severe signs of torture were found upon both of their bodies. As such nobody is awaiting the results of the investigation in this case or any others because everyone understands what is going on.

The specific policy in this region is clear to experts and it is supported by the Kremlin. We only mention that Ramizof M.F. was mentioned in the report of the national strategic group under the heading: ‘The national religious threat map’ in 2013 which suggested that the Southern region must: ‘Comprehend and undertake the role of a leading front against the national political threats that are coming from the South’. As for the nature of this threat then this was made clear within the same report when it stated: ’The climb downs of the government related to these demands are not appropriate in the case where the society has become Islamised; (Building of new Masaajid in major town centres in the non-Islamic regions, permitting the wearing of the Khimaar in public places and official centres and the acceptance of the Shariah rule in one form or another)’.

In the absence of any other clear reasons for the killing of Muslim activists in Stavropol then it is obvious that the strategic policy is being practised there in the case where there is no room for spreading Islam outside of the orthodox Islamic Republics as the district of Stavropol is the border line. The ugliest of what the government is doing or could possibly do is to commission the security forces with dirty acts that they specialise in such as obstruction, abduction, torture and murder. This is the policy that has already been practised against female Muslim students and against the Muslims who refuse this irrational policy that is hostile to Islam and being proceeded upon by the Kremlin.
