14th September 786CE (15 Rabi’ al-awwal 170AH)

On this day in history:

Harun al-Rashid is given the bay’ah and becomes the Khaleefah over the Muslims after the death of his brother al-Hadi the previous Abbasid Khaleefah.

Among the actions Harun al-Rashid is famous for is his uncompromising stance against the enemies of Islam.

When Byzantine Emperor Nicephorus refused to abide by his treaty obligations with the Khilafah, Harun al-Rashid sent a letter to Constantinople saying: “From Haroon Al Rashid, Khaleefah of the Faithful to Nicephorus, the Roman dog: I have read your letter. You will not hear, you will see my reply.” The Khaleefah then sent a huge army to the Byzantine Empire and forced Nicephorus to abide by the treaty.

Compare this stance to the actions of today’s rulers who don’t even speak a word against the daily atrocities committed by the Jewish Entity, America, Britain, China and NATO against our blessed Ummah.
