“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah”

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance], and they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration.” [Al-Ahzaab: 23]

Hizb ut Tahrir in the Blessed Land-Palestine mourns one of its Sheikhs and unique men, one of its finest leaders in the Blessed-Land and head of the tribes and one who made up between the people, the bearer of Truth and Dawah to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate):

Hajj Abdul-Mu’ti Issa As-Said Al-Harbawi (Abu Issam)

He passed away today, Wednesday 23/10/2019, after a lifetime spent in enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, and making up between the people. He was known in Palestine for his strong positions in the face of the oppressors, proclaiming the truth, and not fearing any blame in the way of Allah. He took the initiative to support Islam and the Ummah’s issues, and was at the forefront in the struggle and defense of Islam and people’s rights and defending the Ummah’s values.

He stood like the towering mountain in support of the waqf land of the noble companion Tamim Ad-Dari despite his old age and illness. He walked side by side the youth and labourers of Palestine in rejecting the oppressive Social Security Act. He spent all efforts to console people according to the Islamic law.

He was known in the fields of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, and the call to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate), he was at the front rows spreading enthusiasm amongst the Shabab, and was the embodiment of the stories of the heroes of the Ummah and its unique men by the time and effort he spent in the way of the Truth. Neither arrests nor threats deterred him or broke his resolve. Tear gas did not prevent him from completing his speech.

He stayed up nights and frequented the Sheikhs, tribes, notables and thinkers for the sake of Allah and we do not recommend anyone to Allah. He was keen on protecting the blood, honour, money and dignity of the people of the Blessed Land. He moved day and night leading delegations, sit-ins, marches and calls to the Islamic Ummah, to the people of support and power, and to the Muslim armies to liberate the Blessed Land and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to uproot the Jewish entity from its roots.

Abu Issam moved next to His Lord, the Forgiving, the Merciful, we are consoled that he met Allah on the work of the Prophets and sincere Dawah carriers, and we ask Allah to accept him among the righteous.

Our hearts are saddened, our eyes tear, and we are saddened by your departure, O Abu Issam, and we only say what pleases Allah; what Allah gave and what He took all belong to Him (swt), and Allah has a measure for everything. To Allah we belong and to Him we will return.

الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

“Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” [Al-Baqara: 156]
