The BBC reported on the 11th of July, “Srebrenica massacre anniversary: crowds chase Serb PM away.” World dignitaries gathered with the Muslim people of the town that day to mark the 20th anniversary of the slaughter of 8000 Muslim men and boys, and though some of these leaders were complicit in the slaughter, it was not until the Serbian Prime Minister, Alexander Vucic, made an appearance that things became too much for one man!

“Takbir!” shouted the Muslim, and “Allahu Akbar” responded the crowd, when the renowned Serbian nationalist fanatic, now turned Western ally, dared to show his face at the former scene of death, which he helped to shape with his hateful slogans such as, ‘For every killed Serb, we will kill 100 Bosniaks.” What happened next was reported by the BBC, CNN, Reuters and all the world’s major news outlets. Vucic and his bodyguards were booed, and chased up a hill by a spontaneous crowd throwing shoes, stones and whatever was available.
However, 20 years ago, it was the Muslims that were retreating up the hills of Srebrenica, chased by the murderous forces of the current PM’s former friends and comrades. They ran desperately without weapons, followed by Serbian tanks and machine gunners. The Serbs got their weapons from Russia, while the West imposed a strict arms embargo that made it almost impossible for the Muslim Bosnians to get weapons. At the Muslim town of Srebrenica, the Muslims had been promised ‘safe haven’ by the United Nations if they surrendered their ancient, ex-Soviet era weapons, and this they did. Despite many months of knowledge about Serbian intentions to capture the town and ethnically cleanse it of Muslims, the United States and the United Kingdom have maintained the lie that they were caught by surprise at Srebrenica, and all the while they were conspiring, along with France, to let the Serbs take this town. The French had made public their fear of a Muslim state being created in Europe, and made little pretence about Srebrenica.
Finally, Dutch UN peacekeepers surrendered 5000 Muslims directly to the advancing Serbian commander in exchange for a few UN prisoners and then the killing was almost inevitable, except for one thing. The Serbs did not have enough petrol to supply the vehicles needed to expel the women and the youngest of the children, and they lacked the petrol to chase the Muslim men that were seeking to escape the Serbian stranglehold. It was the United Nations that gave them 30,000 litres of petrol to fuel the deadly slaughter and ethnic cleansing of the area after Srebrenica fell, and it was also this petrol that fuelled the bulldozers assisting the task of burying the thousands of murdered Muslims in un-marked shallow graves all over the mountainsides of Eastern Bosnia.
The only surprise on the day of the 20th anniversary of this European genocide against the Muslims in Srebrenica; a day in which 600 more bodies were buried, while the search still continues for about 1000 more that are yet to be accounted for, is that the Western leaders with blood on their hands were not also chased up a hill with the Serbian Prime under a volley of shoes for their shameful lies and betrayal.
