A war from the mountains reaches us through the highway

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted to investigate Saturday’s police ‘encounter’ in Sahiwal has held officers of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) responsible for the killings of three “innocent” members of the same family, Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat announced on Tuesday. Comment:

The recent incident of brutal killing of four innocent people by the security forces not only brought grief to the people, but also brought terror and fear of being targeted any where and anytime and then being labeled as a terrorist. Although Prime Minister, Imran Khan, claimed to have a firm stance, pledging not to give in to any “one-sided demands” it seems that being in the position of Prime Minister is impossible if one refuses to obey the US orders. Imran Khan not only gave in but is committed to the ‘anti-terrorism’ cause like all his predecessors.

CTD (counter terrorism Department) is actually formed from the CID (criminal investigation department) to facilitate the needs arising from the National Action Plan and it has total rights to suspect, question and interrogate anyone in the name of the fight against terrorism. Spying on people, invading their privacy, asking questions about their ethnicity and that also from the people who have been living in Pakistan since its creation are the brave jobs done by this institution. If you have traditional looks or you have a beard and god forbid if you wear a Pathan cap, then all this makes you highly vulnerable to the department. With the Sahiwal incident, we have seen that killing women and children as collateral damage has moved down from the mountains of Afghanistan to the highways of Pakistan. Will it reach the towns and houses? Right now multiple departments are fighting this ghost war and are busy killing and arresting people without any proof.

People of Pakistan need to seriously doubt the law and authority that allows the powerful to kill and destroy innocent people, and if caught they can simply get away by calling it a mistake. What law can allow innocents to be killed or locked away for their whole life? Has the government ever given the definition of terrorism? Let us tell you. Terrorism is anything that is a threat to the any puppet regime anywhere in the Muslim world. It can be a thought of change or revival, or a word of challenge or a hand of help towards the oppressed. We as Muslims need to recognize the wolf in the sheep’s clothing and that is, my dear brothers and sisters, your current government. They are the real terrorists. No Judicial commission will be fruitful as this is the time to take a stand for the wrongly spilt innocent blood. This is the time to demand justice, and justice is only in Allah’s law. Muslim blood that is being spilled all over the world has failed to get any justice from their own and from the United Nations. Only the return of Khilafah (Caliphate) will ensure their due rights on the dignified life they deserve, where they will not be wrongfully killed and their names will not be wrongfully maligned.

Reject Democracy, reject war on Terror, call for Khilafah.

“They are trying to deceive Allah and those who believe, but they do not realize that in truth they are only deceiving themselves.”
