On 14 Shawwal 1439 AH, corresponding to 28/06/2018, Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Sudan presented a letter to the brother, the Khartoum State Police Director, regarding requesting the holding of a seminar entitled: CEDAW Agreement: A Deep Shariah Vision at the Martyr Az-Zubair Muhammad Salih International Conference Centre, on Saturday the first of Dhul Qi’idah 1439 AH, corresponding to 14/7/2018, at 11 am. Yesterday our representative called to receive the reply from the police, he was given a verbal response that the National Security and Intelligence Service rejected the request to hold this seminar, and as always they refused to give us a written statement of this decision.

In light of this rejection, we in Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Sudan want to highlight clearly to the public opinion the following facts:

First: The authorities’ rejection to hold a seminar in a closed hall confirms the regime’s fear of saying the word of truth, which is based on the guidance of the great Islam, because the subject is related to the Shariah rules pertaining to women, and the complete violation of CEDAW to the Shariah rules in the foundation and branches.

Secondly, this prevention is of course not supported by Allah’s righteous law, which calls for the manifestation of truth and the vanquishing of falsehood wherever it may be.

Allah (swt) says:

وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا

“And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart.” [Al-Isra’: 81]

Allah (swt) says:

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَابِ أُولَئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ

“Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture – those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse” [Al-Baqara: 159].

We carry out this matter in response to Allah’s command so that we will not be from the cursed.

Thirdly: This fallen regime, subordinate to the colonial Kafir West, is thrashing left and right, faltering and violating its own man-made constitution, which allows the freedom of political activity; it does not respect even the republic’s decisions issued by the President of the Republic. In terms of our issue specifically, i.e. the holding of a seminar, the Republic’s Decree No. 158 of paragraph (3)-2- states that: (political parties shall have the right to hold and organize seminars and public gatherings in public fields and places. And it states in (3)-3-: Despite the provisions of section 2, approval shall be obtained from the specialized authority at least 48 hours in advance for the purposes of security, protection and traffic regulation.

The republic’s decision that is referred to does not give the right of prevention to the security services, but the purpose of informing them is for the provision of security, protection and traffic regulation … We have addressed the security authorities which disregarded the republic’s decision and prevented the seminar to appease the colonial Kafir West!

Fourthly, preventing people, especially Hizb ut Tahrir, from saying the truth in peaceful intellectual political activity is the final nail in the coffin of the regime that deceived the people of Sudan of carrying Islam, for more than two decades, but Islam is innocent from what they do.

In conclusion, we assure the Ummah that we will continue to seek Allah’s pleasure, by showing the truth, and by vanquishing the falsehood, whenever we can. The prevention of holding a seminar in a closed hall is not the end. There are thousands of means and ways to convey the truth to the people; enjoining the truth and forbidding the evil. Indeed Allah (swt) will protect His Deen and believing slaves even after a while.

Allah (swt) says:

إنَّا لَنَنْصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الأَشْهَادُ * يَوْمَ لا يَنْفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ

“Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand * The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home.”

[Ghafir: 51-52]
